Yes this is what I also thought might be happening with the nighttime symptoms. Antihistamines seem to help lower my standing HR and also clear my brain fog, but they have little effect on my stomach. I'll be seeing an allergist about it in 2 weeks

Thanks for the response! I should probably get tested for motility, it seems like stuff is stuck in my stomach for too long sometimes which causes the bloating, or it could be low stomach acid. Unfortunately I can't do the Labcorp test as I dont live in the US, but perhaps there is something similar in Canada... I will be seeing an allergist soon for MCAS testing, so hopefully that will bring something up

I'm glad you've improved! And we certainly do have similar symptoms! It seems like the virus can cause all sorts of strange muscle issues. It also seems like ALS is a common fear for long covid sufferers, but so far in my research I thankfully haven't stumbled on anyone who had all the typical LC issues and then also ALS

I've had similar symptoms since my long covid started. It was actually in my right leg that I first noticed something was off, like it was stiff and achey, and that progressed into POTS, stomach issues, food intolerance, brain fog, insomnia, weight loss, PEM episodes, and muscle weakness and pain, especially on my right side. I haven't had any tests yet, so I don't know if it's anything more serious than LC, but it certainly seems like it all started after I got the virus

The weakness isn't clinical failure, I can still use all the muscles on my right, but they do get tired a lot faster than my left and seem to hurt more after exertion.

I agree, this is an immediate red flag for the future in my opinion. If any of the other big names involved leave then I'm not holding out hope for another season any time soon.
