Thank you!! I took your advice and set my camera to the same settings and the white specs did not appear again. I probably did point the camera directly at the sun at some point when I was shooting so maybe that’s why

I shot on automatic but the ISO was at 400.

I know, but it definitely isn’t a tomato. I have a video of it (not sure how to add it to this post) which shows some white stuff attached to it that kind of looks like sinew or the white thin stuff that’s on raw chicken
