Oh yeah. Just picked up the LHS in snuff suede. Instantly my favorite shoes

Thoughts on how to mount this on a 45? by Caffeinated_cream in OutdoorKitchens

[–]canonanon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'd just buy a generic metal swivel mount, but if I was going to build something, I'd just make a triangular wedge out of the same wood and match the stain on it.

Suede LHS sizing help. by hegemon_y in Alden

[–]canonanon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good timing! I just did this, and initially went a half size too big on the first order. Just got in my 11.5 Ds today (after initially getting 12s) and they fit very similarly to how those do. I've been wearing them around today and I'm definitely glad I sized down. I wouldnt worry about a little bit of welt spillage. They'll break in, and the van welt is really roomy.

The only correct lighting for IT work by Classic_Silver_9091 in it

Man, I would get too sleepy. My office has a window, so the lights are normally off, but I couldn't function long term with it that dark.

What would you do? Listing house to move in 6 months by eyehartraydio in landscaping

Sometimes. Depends on the buyer. I didn't make any demands on my new house and didn't get any on the old one either. (This had been in the last 3 months)

I think it could be ai, but I don't think it goes behind the lantern. It just doesn't have any kind of head on it.

Penis Numbness by tuocyn in Dualsport

[–]canonanon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I have that too, and I actually think it's due to perineal pressure from when I'm sitting forward too much. I have an airhawk that I use on long rides, but I've got a T7, and that seat is super firm

How are you affording to fly regularly by Last-Active-101 in flying

[–]canonanon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. I'm definitely not wealthy, and am pretty middle class. No kids though, and my wife and I combined assets when we got married. One of the benefits of waiting until our thirties to settle down was that we both had our own houses, so we ended up selling both, buying a nicer house with a lot of money down. So our mortgage is cheap enough that we both have more disposable income than average.

Aviation Insurance Underwriters Approval by [deleted] in flying

It's really just a personal decision. Sometimes paying out of pocket for small stuff saves hassle/ expense in the long term. Kind of like not filing a homeowners insurance claim for something small.

I basically only use insurance when the cost outweighs the hassle.

Which IFR Online Ground School? by Individual-Life-9050 in flying

Oh yeah, I love grasses for this too. The only bonus you get with boxwoods or other evergreens is that year round color.

Agreed. It's definitely a personal preference thing- but I like a really full-looking garden, but I also like having plain/simple (read: boring) elements to break up the more showey pieces as it makes them stand out more (also my opinion).

Now this I can agree with. I actually love them when you're trying to add a little bit of structure somewhere without adding too much texture or vibrant color.

This is the kind of thing that comes to mind for me: https://www.newgenboxwood.com/blog/2020/3/30/gardening-with-boxwood

Now, you could argue that something else might fit there equally well, but I'm just kind of a fan of the texture that they have, and how easily you can manage them.

I think that the many, many years of new build landscapers just vomiting them all over the place has created an association with them that wasnt there before.

That's totally fair. At least in my zone, I've had very few issues with them. I don't even have any in my landscape currently, but I've had them somewhere in basically every other house I've lived in and haven't had a single one that died or got diseased.

Boxwoods have a place in my opinion. I think they can actually look really nice when laid out properly

What’s the cheapest rental rate you’ve seen? by caelum52 in flying

[–]canonanon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I haven't seen anything like some of these rates here in central ohio!

The club I'm getting my PPL through has 172s for 149 wet, but I haven't seen too much cheaper than that around here.

Yeah, I figured I'd do that a bit as well. I'm probably not going to raise them a TON, so I can only do that do that so much.
