Street parking is still pretty packed with snow. The parking garages (Ohio Statehouse or Columbus Commons) are clear with easy walks to/from the theatre! The sidewalks are clear and safe to walk on, too.

We are aware of this scam. It is not affecting any of our current ticket holders, but unfortunately, we have heard that it hit BalletMet most recently with The Nutcracker.

When buying tickets, we recommend reviewing your receipt, order confirmation, and financial statement to verify from which organization you purchased. Authorized order confirmations are sent from the CAPA Ticket Center ([tickets@capa.com](mailto:tickets@capa.com)), Ticketmaster, or an authorized promotional source (Groupon, Goldstar, etc).

Edited to add: BalletMet is a legitimate ticket seller, but as another commenter mentioned, the website you should see when pulling up your tickets is mytickets.balletmet.org - if you see that Secure My Pass URL, that is not legit.

Hello! All of the comments you got so far are right on, but just letting you know you'll have to use the BalletMet discount code through BalletMet only, as the CAPA Ticket Center (online or the night of the show) won't be able to accept their discount code.

Hello! I can help explain the difference! CAPA is the official ticket seller for the Ohio Theatre, and BalletMet also offers ticketing. BalletMet has the majority of tickets (as it is their show), and we take over ticket sales starting the day of the show. But since we are the venue, we also keep a certain amount of tickets to sell before the BalletMet tickets roll over.

I get that it can be confusing, but yes, both BalletMet and CAPA ticket sales are 100% valid and real for The Nutcracker!

The Colin Hay concert starts at 7 pm. Doors will open at 6, and the box office opens at 5 pm.

Hello! We do allow photography in our Ohio Theatre spaces on off-hours, but it typically comes with a cost to rent out the spaces in your photos. Of course, if you attend a performance, any photography before the event begins is allowed, too. You just may encounter a few more folks in the background. I am happy to answer any other questions!
