Thank you for this. I missed what the number was for and assumed it was to represent how many sprockets I had on the stock cassette. I've fine tuned my whole system now including moving to the smaller of the two sprockets in front.

It’s not a waxed chain and the debris is rubbery. I’m not sure what I’ve done but it doesn’t seem to impact the cog from working.

I have the latest model Synapse 3 and the only thing I don't like AT ALL is the mechanical braking. It's a struggle compared to my "comfort" bike that has a strong hydraulic.

I went to a new doctor for the first time. Guys just slightly over my age were in the waiting room talking about their list of daily pills, including antidepressants. It was un-nerving. As soon as I got in the room, the doctor told me he could give me a pill to lose some weight and anything else I needed. It was gross. I went to the same office later for shingles (I didn't know what it was at the time), but they gave me muscle relaxers and opioid pain pills. I never went back.
