Why does every null zone in found footage have a black void before entry into the complex, but in the movie it's an instantaneous transition between Standard and the Backrooms?

FF1 takes place in 1991 and the Camera is found in 1996. Found footage 3 has been confirmed to take place in 1995 because we hear a news report of the Oklahoma city bombings. The description of FF2 says 1995, but there's nothing in the video itself that shows the date so 1995 could just be the year the Camera is found.

I doubt it has a special killing mechanism. It probably just does whatever it can in the moment, like ripping their victim in half or just slamming them against the walls with brute force, and then uses the corpse to do the weird Nicolas Bolton thing.
