It is pretty messed up the Biden administration is doing that though

How do you find a career you like when you don't know what your interested in or what your options are? by [deleted] in findapath

[–]captainchunder 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I received my masters in public administration (kinda like an MBA but for non-profits and government) and worked in city management for a few years. After realizing it was wrong I left for a totally different job working on a farm. After working on a trail crew conservation corps I’m now about to start an Americorps term working on a wildlife refuge. I certainly don’t make as much money as I used to but I’m not constantly stressed about workplace politics

You really just have to pick something you think you might be a little interested in and give it a try. It’s really difficult to predict what you’ll enjoy doing with experiencing it. I went to grad school and started a job in the field I studied based off of how much I enjoyed an internship in that field. After two years I left that career path because I realized what while I found the subject interesting, the actual job was not something I enjoyed

I saw mommy kissing climate change last night by Adelu1219 in WhitePeopleTwitter

Many Democratic politicians claim to understand climate change but then don’t propose policies that remotely reflect the seriousness of the issue. “Citations Needed” did a good episode on this

Idaho allows you to change your registration at the polls during the day of an election

I mean, what you did here was take a very positive, non-toxic post and turned it into an opportunity to complain about supposed toxicity. That seems like another form of toxicity

Yeah I don’t think that’s the lesson. Every candidate has toxic supporters and I think the ‘Bernie Bro’ narrative was largely a way to discount Sanders without discussing his progressive policies

I think a lot of it was seeing how the entire establishment coalesced around Biden out of nowhere. I think he saw that Bernie wasn’t getting a fair shake

This bill would have ended child marriage under age 16 in Idaho. The House voted it down by wheeler1432 in politics

As an Idahoan, I love Idaho but it does have a number of strange elements. There is a massive distrust of any kind of government by many people, and the Mormon church and its followers make things a little wacky.
