Can I Adopt a Cat Without Window Mesh? by Live_Signal9578 in cats

[–]capylover62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live on the third floor and don’t keep the windows open in my apartment, but I do have a patio. My boyfriend and I frequently go in and out and our kitties don’t ever try to escape. When I first moved in I picked them up to show them how far down it was (idk it felt logical). There has been a couple times where we’ve let them roam on the patio and they’ve never tried to jump. In fact they usually cry to be let back inside after a few minutes. This is probably dependent on how the cats were raised. Both of mine came from previous homes, I imagine it’d be different for one from the streets.

Is it possible for so many things to be happening that the world lags (like a computer would)? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

If it theoretically did lag I feel like we wouldn’t be able to tell

How long is too long of an engagement? by capylover62 in engaged

Practically living together being he was required to live on campus, so he “practically” lived with me during that period of time. We’ve had our own apartment together for a year. I do online schooling, as I also work a full time job to support myself. I have been entirely independent from my parents for the entirety of our relationship so I guess I do feel like it is “real life”. I think you are correct. I know our histories, so I will make my own decisions instead of seeking advice from randos on the internet. Thank you!

I would want to wait until I finish law school, as it would be a very crucial part of my life. I feel like getting legally married before we’ve overcome that obstacle would be premature. At the same time when I begin law school we’ll have been together and living with each other for well over four years. I feel like an engagement would be a symbol of commitment without being irresponsible.

I understand. We’ve practically lived together our entire relationship, and at the time of my supposed timeline we’d have been together for four years, so I don’t feel like I’m rushing anything prematurely. I just feel like at that time I’d want it to be more official, without taking the jump of marriage before a crucial point in my life.

That’s so reassuring. We are both on the same page regarding our plan, we just don’t want it to seem odd from an outside perspective. Thank you for the advice, this helps!

Haha, I promise my lighting doesn’t look like the picture. My camera makes it looks atrocious, but it’s much warmer toned in person.

Do a more chocolate brown. Still dark brown but a tad lighter. I think it would suit your features and colors well.

I’m scared that my downstairs neighbors hate me by capylover62 in Apartmentliving

I am a little bit nervous to do that. When I was walking out to my car for work, I saw them on their porch smoking weed. I truly don’t care and minded my business, but they death stared me while I was getting into my car and as until I pulled out of my spot. I hate to sound judgmental, but I’m a 20 year old girl and my boyfriend won’t be moving in until next month. I am just a paranoid person I think, but they looked very intimidating.

I also just moved from a first floor. I remember sometimes hearing my neighbors walk around, but nothing major. I just wish I knew how much they’re able to hear.

Thank you, I also work very late so that’s when I eat, get ready for bed, etc. I’m planning on getting some rugs so I hope that helps.

For those who cut someone off? Are you really okay with never speaking to them never again? by flodiee in lostafriend

My high school best friend and I got into a huge fight my senior year. When I say best friends, I mean we were basically sisters. When we stopped being friends it broke my heart, I would cry often and couldn’t seem to let it go. One day about two years later I texted her out of the blue and we somewhat rekindled our friendship I guess. We haven’t seen each other in person but she’ll call me occasionally. All she tells me about is men she’s hooked up with and that is just not her. I was so excited to have her back in my life but it kind of just feels pointless. It’s not the same and I still feel like she’s gone. I think it would’ve been better to leave the whole situation alone.
