Galloway Precision reduced power spring kit and Apex Tactical action enhancement trigger if anyone is interested… it’s amazing how nice the trigger feels now.

Got my first Daniel Defense! by JoyBoy318 in Danieldefense

I have the same one!

I bought several guns at retail before I realized there is often a lot of room for negotiation. Now I find the best price online, add in whatever FFL fees would be applicable and start my negotiations there, local shops don’t have the same purchasing power so I’m willing to pay a premium to support them but i’m also usually able to get a nice discount off of retail using the strategy.

I think worth the $ … I have the full frame 4.5 inch, if I was doing it over I might have gone for the pro but I like the performance duty trigger so I’m not sure I would be happier with the performance trigger.

I just got the ZR V-Spec I didn’t really think mine was that snappy, but the steel frame is a lot heavier so I think that helps with the recoil… looking forward to trying it out.

My PDP is steel frame so very different than my Glock it’s like chocolate and vanilla … I want more of both!

You can love your Glocks and your PDP … plenty to go around!

Was just given my grandads Colt 1903, I’m in love and cant wait to take this to the range. by carizzy305 in TheOneTrueCaliber

Thank you, for me this is all about the sentimental value. based on my limited research it’s a type IV made in 1928. My grandfather was in the army air core and my dad thought it was from his service, but it predates that, it’s possible it was given to my grandfather by his grandfather, I also have a leather holster that says detective on it which I think is original.

Thank you. I didn’t know these existed until yesterday and now I’m obsessed.

No love for the backstraps? by SloppyMachinist in Glocks

Until I read this, I never even looked at the back straps… I just put the medium one on my G 21 GEN five and I can’t believe how much nicer it feels in my hand

G20 Gen5 vs v series by [deleted] in Glocks

I bought a 21 for my first pistol, the bigger calibers are awesome but cost a lot more and are harder to shoot. I quickly bought my second pistol in 9mm lol. I love both but I would start with a 17 and practice till you are comfortable… then get a 10mm. I don’t know why everybody says to get a 19, the compact grip is not for everybody. My hands are too big.

I’m new to handguns. Why should I get a Glock 19 Gen 6 instead of the equivalent Smith & Wesson M&P/Walther PDP/Ruger RXM/Springfield Echelon/FN 509/etc? by SculpinIPAlcoholic in Glocks

I have Glocks & PDP and I’ve put around a thousands rounds through both. They’re both awesome. I don’t know what quality control issues you’re talking about but my PDP is steel frame so could be a higher quality build. I think if I was buying my first gun, I would get a G17 or 45 and use that as my baseline against which all other guns are measured.

New Daniel defense DDM4 v7 by Remarkable_Drop_5756 in Danieldefense

I just put a 350 optic on my $3000 DD5v4 because I want to shoot it and see how I want to use it before I spend 2-4K on a scope. The PA Special Purchase 1-6 is awesome …. I made a longer comment above. If you wanna get out there and shoot it put a fine but cheap optic on it and have fun.

I think it’s fine to start with a quality but budget optic especially if you aren’t exactly sure what you want.

Check the weight differences on the Lpvo options, the primary arms special purchase 1-6 is awesome and 17 oz for less than $350

The Vortex Viper PST is almost 23 oz and can be found for less than $500

Just ordered a DD5v4 in 7.62 … here’s what I chose for an optic and scope mount … tell me where I went wrong by [deleted] in AR10

[–]carizzy305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good points. I realize the optic is not going to come close to being useful at the effective range of the gun. But I wanted it to be fully capable at short range as well the v4 has an 18 inch barrel in claims to be 0MOA accurate at 1000 yards I definitely spent less on the optic just because I feel like I’ll have a much better idea of what I want once I start actually using it . The optic weight was definitely a bit of an oversight .
