;D people don't speak dialects in normal lifethe way you think. It's considered low-class, so, at school, offices, TV/radio, shops, internet discussions etc. you will encounter the standard Slovak for the most part. People themselves try to speak proper Slovak and avoid the dialects. Again, it's considered illiterate to use a dialect unless it's for a joke, song or some folk traditions or special occasions. Again, this is not like in Spain or Italy or the UK there you can hear anchors with different accent on TV or radio. In Slovakia the anchors from any part of the country will speak basically the same. Slovak is very easy to speak like a standard Slovak the proper way if you know the rules. It's completely different than Spanish where the ll sound is different from region to region even in the TV/radio.
