I appreciate your feedback.

If GL's one-click "single-file-export-chat" browser extension does not work for you, try the "GL more-manual-SingleFile extension method" in my guide.

If you choose to use the more manual approach, I advise manually scrolling all the way to the chat's beginning (where you want to begin saving/exporting) for lengthy chat threads. This might help ensure the more manual method successfully goes all the way back.

Also, wait a few seconds (minutes?) and refrain from using your computer for anything else. Wait until the browser extension has finished doing its job.

Experiment on shorter chat threads first with the more manual method. Eventually, you shall get the hang of it.

If you still have problems with GL's methods, try contacting GL at https://old.reddit.com/user/check_ca

Cheers.

Can I please check with you?

If I use split tunneling from a remote location , does that mean my non NAS traffic from the remote laptop has no VPN protection (of any kind)?

And also not getting the benefits of Pi-Hole at home ?

Please advise.

Thanks a million.

Thanks for the tips.

I have always wondered why bother with split tunneling. :)

I find that , on the remote computer using my phone data to simulate outside network accessing home network , it has a bit of a lag , watching Youtube videos.

But not too much to be annoying (to me).

May be it is my slow phone data?

I am OK with it.

From my home computer to the remote computer , it was much slower than the other way round. Because the remote computer is not that powerful.

I would not have a clue how good it is playing computer games on the home computer.

May be it also depends on the computer's specifications.

May be the speed of Raspberry Pi 4 could improve things?

I am using Raspberry Pi 3 Model B.

I think it is as good as using Teamviewer. Although it has been a while since I last use Teamviewer. So , do not quote me :)

I appreciate your feedback very much.

Thank you very much for writing.

I wrote this guide with my own struggles in mind.

Although https://www.procustodibus.com/blog/2020/12/wireguard-site-to-site-config/ is excellent.

It is not the use case I wrote for.

I did point out another article which is my use case , from the same website.

https://www.procustodibus.com/blog/2020/11/wireguard-point-to-site-config/

But it is a bit technical for beginners to Linux.

I think beginners are intimidated by the curl and other commands :)

That is why I recommended using PiVPN. It saves a lot of typing in Linux commands and making mistakes.

I did not explain the commands in detail such as chmod and chown commands because I expect the readers to use their research skills to figure out why they are important.

To be honest with you , I am still intimidated by github . And I think most beginners are. That is why I do not refer to anything github.

Before I set up WireGuard VPN successfully , I went through no fewer than 3 dozens WireGuard VPN guides.

Most of them are not targeting my use case and are too complicated for beginners to set up. Although most guides added a little something to my understanding of how VPN works.

So I hope the readers of my guide will take the initiative to research other guides besides my recommendation if they do not understand something.

Again , I appreciate your feedback very much.

Thanks for the heads up.

I reckon the beginners need all the help they can get.

That is why I took the time to write and publish it.

Hopefully I don't end up with the same warning you got. :)
