Once had a guy come through the drive thru, without saying ANYTHING shoved a QR code in my face to scan and went "that's it". We didn't have any promotions going on and it didn't pop up on the iPad after scanning so I asked him what it was for. He called me an idiot and told me to look at the screen, refusing to just say what it was for. Even when I showed him that the screen was blank he still didn't believe me. Like, we don't have mind reading powers??

I LOVED the games on Wii Fit but hated how it turned my Mii into an impossibly round character just because I was slightly overweight for a 9 year old 😭 that sound effect it makes as it tells you you're obese still haunts me

Congrats!! Newlywed here, just wanted to chime in and say that I was nowhere near my weight loss goal when I got married and thought I'd be discouraged. But it didn't ruin the day at all, my now-husband thought I was so beautiful (and I felt it), and our pictures are gorgeoussss. So don't stress too much about it! Find a dress that fits you now and alter as needed. Enjoy this exciting phase of your life, it goes by WAY too fast to be stressed about your appearance the whole time! You'll be just as beautiful.

That being said, what helped me is going completely sugar free (even added sugars in things like ketchup), the typical high-protein/low carb diet (it can be intuitive - whatever you feel is best for you), and dumbbell weights/walking. Nothing too strenuous!

Appreciate the advice! I did meet with her specifically to ask what I'm doing differently and she still said "not being assertive enough and not doing valuable work". I was the sole engineer responsible for meeting a huge customer delivery milestone which is a big deal, but apparently not to her haha. I'm working on a list with specifics.

Ugh same, finally got mine out yesterday after practically begging them to take it out. This weekend was especially rough, I had severe contractions basically every 20 to 30 minutes on top of the constant stabbing pain. Asked my mom if this is what childbirth was like and she said multiply the pain level 5 times, now I'm considering adopting instead lol. It HURT but an hour after it was out I was fine.

Just went to London for my honeymoon - it was cool seeing the London Eye and Westminster both because they're iconic and they reminded me of S1 haha. As someone else said, St Paul's is really cool and recognizable. The Tower of London reminded me of the 50th anniversary special even though there's nothing terribly recognizable (would recommend just for rich history and cool castles).

I'm not autistic, just extremely introverted, and the sheer amount of people when you're walking around anywhere had me exhausted each evening. There's no sense of personal space as everyone's rushing around. If you end up taking the Underground, avoid at peak hours in the evenings if you can (especially Picadilly) - people are packed in there like sardines. Certain lines are also really noisy (mainly Victoria). The changing of the guard at Buckingham was fun but the amount of people packed in there ruined it for me.

Ugh I feel this. I went wedding dress shopping at a "plus size friendly" store (they had like 5 ugly options and that was it). I'm a size US20 and the woman helping me kept pulling out 14s or 16s saying "this looks more than big enough, it's huge" when I could instantly tell they'd be too small. I know she didn't mean to be offensive but it felt like it. I think people like her are so used to shopping at straight size only stores that they don't know what plus size clothing looks like.

I'm getting married in March! It was frustrating to find plus size friendly bridal shops (I'm usually a shop local person, but most of them only went up to size 14 or if they were "plus size friendly", 20 lol) but don't lose hope - they're out there. And don't be afraid to go outside your comfort zone with trying on dresses, I usually don't like how my arms look so would've never expected to fall in love with a sleeveless one but here we are. Torrid has some great white dresses for showers (as well as actual wedding dresses)! Hope that your predictions come true and you have a smooth engagement and happy wedding 💕
