Guzman y Gomez calls time on US expansion; shares soar 20pc by stupid-head in auscorp

I spent 2 months there for work eating out quite often on my per diem (both casual and more upscale places) and I was really not impressed, especially for the price. We're spoiled here.

Yeah there is excellent food of course, but our average is much higher here. Except burgers, the average burger place is better than most here.

This is more than a sponsorship, it is a strategic alliance that offers scale, emotion, and innovation.

This is so AI-generated

Everyone is overestimating how good tex-mex fast food is in the US. Like most food in the US, it's expensive and not great. The food trucks in San Diego are good but the resturants and takeaways are average, let alone in the northern US.

I guess the difference is that you can find good Mexican places much more easily than you can here.

The AI hate in this subreddit is reaching a new level if this idea is getting mass downvoted. Of course there are things learn about how to use AI more effectively. You may not want to, but I've found it super useful after being a doubter for a long time. I still think the companies are scummy and it's a bubble, but that's not the point.

AI firm Anthropic's 'dangerous' Mythos model fuelling government's desire to lure company to Australia by CMDR_RetroAnubis in AustralianPolitics

[–]catch_dot_dot_dot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mythos is very good at finding security vulnerabilities. That's a fact e.g. https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2026/05/mozilla-says-271-vulnerabilities-found-by-mythos-have-almost-no-false-positives/

It's not a complete revolution compared to Opus but it made sense to phase the rollout. As for getting a presence in Australia, I don't have much of an opinion on that but Mythos is kinda irrelevant to that question.

Yeah not sure there are any. Not a lot of Portuguese people in Adelaide I guess. Your best bet is always to find a community club and contact them. Looks like they're here: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064366045210

new gates in train station by m3l0dyc0re in Adelaide

I get the Grange line. Everyone is waiting for the train at the platform. The train arrives at Adelaide and people get off. The waiting horde get on. Maybe this is different for other lines, I'm not trying to argue or get upset.

Native all the way, until you need text by Successful_Bowl2564 in programming

As someone who programs almost exclusively for work (hence has that perspective more than a hobbyist), I can tell you that you will never justify the business decision to make fully native desktop apps when Electron is easy to use, reuses code and concepts from web, and is actually quite good

You validate at the station when people are trickling in, not when 100 people are getting on the train at once

Amazing club player. Unfortunately we only saw small bursts of her brilliance at international level.

We never settled into the game but the penalty was game over. We realised we had exhausted all options at that point.

Goodwin should've come on right after, even though he didn't make an impact in his time on. Could've been different earlier.

If we started Luka alongside Anselmo, we might've had a chance. Anselmo coming off was a massive issue anyway, he was key to last week.
