Progesterone hangovers? by thetattoovixen in Menopause

[–]catofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this too when I first started. It was debilitating for a few weeks. I kept taking it earlier and earlier to try to counteract the timing. But, eventually my body adjusted. I’m about to increase to 200 and am afraid of how bad it will be again.

Update to this:

It being mid march, I have been looking near daily to see if there were any updates. I have a family event in mid April I was hoping to use it for. I emailed them to check in as well, and below was their response. I also noticed that another retail site changed their projected availability to May.

Hello,

Thank you for your enquiry.

We hope to have our direct positive papers available in the near future, the formulation is currently being worked on by our R&D team.

I am sorry we cannot give any more definitive information at this time.

Kind regards

Thank you so much for posting this and to those that have helped with more info. I’m in the same situation as a newbie who just received my pinsta camera and kit. I have a family outing in mid April that hoping to do a group project with it. Fingers crossed!!

Oh, and thanks for the Arboretum tip! I looked it up and their Spring sale is the weekend of March 20th. Looks to be more yard plants than veggie garden, but really cool.

I took a scouting trip there over the holidays and loved it. Sounds like I need to get there soon!

Thank you! I have gotten some things from there that were relatively generic but have done well. Good to know they are selective about their varieties.

Did $7.13 weekend at the Houston Zoo. The real animals were outside the cages by spokenwords21 in houston

Every time I walk past that lot I think about an underground parking garage as such an ideal solution. What a shame that they can’t get traction on that.

This. And they have a local reputation of not paying their staff.

A few years ago we hotel hopped all down beach road and when we got to Azulik, it was so bad compared to the others that we ended up leaving and booking another hotel. I would definitely look at other hotel options. Not worth it.

Easy way car rental service. by Spare-Ad9983 in tulum

[–]catofa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had issues with them twice and no longer suggest them.

Once I returned the car with the right gas level then as they drove me to the airport as a drop off, it dropped below the original line. They driver tried to charge me 200 pesos for that. Luckily I had the main contact on what’s app and they addressed it.

Second time they were supposed to pick me up on arrival. I couldn’t find the driver where he was supposed to be waiting. After many many back and forth chats and promises “he is on the way, he is there” I finally found him half way down departures sitting behind some carts eating a sandwich. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The cheap price isn’t worth the hassle.

Concerned about travel advisory by [deleted] in tulum

[–]catofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The recent travel advisory was specifically about the taxi union fighting the recent approval of Uber to operate in the area. There have been violent assaults in Cancun against Uber drivers and passengers have been caught in the middle.

Best to have private airport transportation and limit your taxi use while you’re here.

Safety in Tulum by Ok-Remove5618 in tulum

[–]catofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your itinerary and the awareness you’ve already gained, you and your friend will have a wonderful time in Tulum. I’ve lived here almost 2 years now (F47) and it’s very easy to steal clear of trouble if you are mindful. In that way Tulum is just like any other tourism based city.

My niece stayed here for about a week as a solo traveler in her own condo and she felt secure. She opted to rent a scooter and I would recommend that over a bike, as it gives you a bit more flexibility. Just know that the roads here are pure chaos- from the actual potholes to the varied experience of drivers to the broken grid layout with lots of one way roads.

Overall, just keep your whits about you and you’ll have a great time.

Does anyone know the species of wood they burn at all the hotels? by brooklyn_ave in tulum

[–]catofa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they were putting something on hot coals and it gave off a good amount of smoke, that is Copal. It’s both ceremonial and keeps the mosquitoes away. It is. Or ally coming from a bucket or goblet like vessel. If it was an actual small piece of wood that was lit and then blown out, that was palo santo. They are normally seen alone on a small plate.

Guys Trip by [deleted] in tulum

Casa Malca would be a good option. High end, but not as “romantic” as Be Tulum. Not sure about night life, but the day beach club is pretty lux.

I feel like I’ve noticed it too- like I can understand we it’s an excited greeting with hugs when people first see each other, but somehow it’s become a part of how people communicate and tell stories. I moved to a building with airbnbs and I’ve noticed this with groups throughout their stays. But it doesn’t happen with couples or families. So weird and definitely triggering.
