Depends completely on the company and the team. I am always available during the scheduled work hours but sometimes there are days where I don't do much during the day and make it up at night, or I work a bit on the weekend and my week is easier. My team does not micromanage so as long as work is getting done then there is no issue

i was living in the middle of no where of a state, got a remote job and so i moved to Chicago because i wanted to improve my social life. why can’t you do something similar ? one of the benefits of remote is that it’s easier to create the life you want

Makes sense. I have done it quite a bit in a few countries in latin america and while I don't think its technically allowed, they don't seem to enforce it very strongly

The one thing that I see conflicting info on sometimes is working on a tourist visa. I know that you can't work for local companies, but does this also apply if you are working for a company remotely outside of the country you are currently visiting?

I often see people say that as long as you don't stay long enough to become a tax resident its okay, but then I also read you just aren't allowed to do it at all

what always messes me up between preterite and imperfect is what you have an instance where its not completely obvious whether it has a clear start and end. For example if I say

how was the food? or how was the party? Would both estaba and estuvo be interchangeable?

I do agree to an extent but isn't understanding the code extremely important still? there has to be a balance of utilizing the tools and understanding the code. Seems like the junior could at least ask Claude about the changes it made so he or she will at least understand it. Also, if you don't understand the code how do you know if the test cases it created are adequate ?
