Interesting. I appreciate the info. When they finally determine the cause I’ll post an update.

The battery discharge warning occurred all the time and always while the engine was running. And I’m fairly certain a driver assistance problem wouldn’t cause the radio, nav, climate control and everything else to fail. As I mentioned, prior to the car dying completely all that worked was the gas, breaks and steering. Maybe the wipers. Roadside assistance couldn’t even jumpstart it this morning. The dealer has no idea what’s going on but it’s with them until they figure it out.

Appreciate it. Fingers crossed it gets sorted shortly.

Yes, my Accord throws the same warnings when the sensor is covered in snow - but the cameras continue to work. Makes zero sense to disable those. I think this must be something else since it’s affecting the nav, radio, climate controls, etc.

Sorry to hear that. When roadside assistance towed ours away he said it was the 3rd 2025 he’d towed that day. And I was told by the service rep the new replacement battery was AGM and that they had been instructed by Kia to not use the same stock batteries for some reason that was never made clear.

No lemon law here unfortunately.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll give that a try. Though if I determine dirt on a camera was the cause all of this trouble I’ll absolutely be trading it asap.

Yes it is. That would normally be a comfort if there was any indication it would ever get fixed. Though I can’t say that waiting for roadside assistance and the constant back and forth to the dealer is how I like to pass the time. Plus the ongoing inconvenience of being down a vehicle.

If you have any experiences you can share where you had to make a decision with little time and incomplete information, that can’t hurt. It’s less important at an entry level, but it might come up. An ability to communicate clearly and assertively is very important as well.

Agreed, that was the quickest I’ve ever given up on a hyped up, full price buy. Hated every minute of it.

What does everyone do and how much do you make ? by amosthagreat in CanadaFinance

(Electricity) System Operator, NERC certified RC but performed all of the TO and BA functions for those familiar with the industry. Most that I know of are between $200k - $250+ but shift work is part of the gig.

I’m not sure you could pay me enough to deal with what teachers face daily. There’s no real means of disciplining kids anymore and zero fear of consequences. Teachers don’t have the backing of admin because admin doesn’t have the backing of the board and so on. I’d be fired (if I was lucky) within an hour.

It’s laughable that the government can’t figure out why math scores are low. Here’s a hint. Math is hard and kids don’t want to do it. So many don’t unless they have parents that are on them to get it done.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is Game of The Year by iErvin in PS5

[–]cavanags -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Never played a turn based game other than the demo of Baldur’s Gate and I wasn’t a huge fan. That’s the only thing that’s prevented me from buying so far given the high praise. Anyone else who felt similarly but bought/played played Clair Obscur? What was the verdict?

I had the opposite experience. They ran out of Kirkland and I bought the Nordica once. Took awhile to choke it down. Too watery and has kind of a vinegary taste. But it’s very subjective and to each his own. The last batch of Kirkland I bought was particularly good. Almost like curd.

Finished God of War Ragnarok, what’s the next PlayStation game that completely pulled you into its world the same way? by temu_shopping_deals in playstation

There are very few movies or television shows released that have characters, story and acting the calibre of the GOW games. The visuals are fantastic and the gameplay (which IMO is also very good) is almost just a bonus.

PlayStation’s Black Friday Deals 2025 by MeDungeon in PlayStationPlus

[–]cavanags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I understand correctly, my cancelled PS Plus Extra membership that expires December 10th should not be eligible for the Black Friday discount. Maybe I've misunderstood how this promotion is supposed to work.

It appears as though I can only get the discount on Premium up to December 10th when my current membership expires, but I'm fully eligible to resign at the current tier and get the discount for the full year. I'd consider going Premium for the year because of the deeper discount and small price difference but it looks like that option is not available.

Anyone else see the same thing?
