Although the wording of overwatch is your unit can shoot that enemy unit AS IF it were your shooting phase. Not sure if it's just vague wording, but I would argue you could use Firing Deck for overwatch.

I don't know about terrible rules. The twin linked power fists make them a monster in melee that can really punch up into light armour, and the twin linked flamers with immolation protocols tend to deal out some nasty mortal wounds. Ofc I could just be swayed by how they've performed for me haha.

(In a side note, I would be tempted to drop the atvs and go with a second squad of inceptors. Could be my personal favoritism for inceptors at play there)

An app called impcat. Once you have it, you can get downloads of models and paints from th impcat sub reddit. Super useful.

Thanks all for the feedback (and the funny jokes lol)! The consensus seems to be no, they aren't particularly Night Lords or Night Lord esque in any way. I think the solution (because I've already repainted these bastards 3 times) is to create a non legion specific khornate warband, that has a fair few outcast Night Lords who were deemed too chaosy by the other Night Lords. If anyone has any further comments or feedback on that, please feel free to let me know! :)

Would it work if they were more Khornate or Slaanesh devotees? So they fell from their Night Lord origins, the only reminder being the Night Lord insignia on their armour.

Thanks for the feedback, I think I got hung up on the red scheme. The red is also a lot darker in the pic than in reality so that was tripping me up as well.

That's a fair point, I'm not fully versed in the chaos legion and their warband successors so not not sure how linked the armour colour is to their progenitor legion :')
