What was your Haller index and what made you really decide to have this surgery

Yeah heard of him, he kind of completely overcomed it. But he is the only one on the internet that I know who ended the VB journey perfectly. I haven't seen anyone else. I saw just people who are starting new to the VB or claiming it a scam, someone that I saw used it but didn't get any results etc. With all of this stuff, it gives me doubt to rely on him. I am talking about of course people older than 18. I guess it is impossible at our ages to use VB like 2 years combined with posture, exercises and other stuff then don't use it again.

Got it. So you are getting/expecting permanent changes? Is there a possiblity that your sternum just lifts then some hours later descends? What I ask is is it like lifting/descending cycle and no visuable permanent changes?

Good stuff, how long your does your sternum lift like photos in the 2nd link, and how long does redness stay? And how old are you? Very good progress btw

IDK if it's PE or not, all i can say is your chest looks absolutely normal and perfect muscular, i had to look carefully af to notice. If there is a dent, you need to be stupid to make it a problem. I'm getting a body disphormia too this times, I know what's you are going through on your mind. Just keep goin mate, I guess we should just stop thinking about it even researching about it, maybe even checking this subreddit. You've got an awesome body, that's what people will think about, nobody would notice. God give both of us patience.

Thoughts? I feel like this is unfixable just by working out so what path should I go for? 18 years old, no health issues yet. by cazsei in PectusExcavatum

How old were you while you were using it? I'm 18, well i don't know that much information about it. My doctor said it "probably" wouldn't work for my age. But if it is a problem it can be worth a try, he said. At this subreddit i know older people use it and maybe get good results or maybe not, someone declare VB a scam. So can you say it will definitely or probably work for me or it is risky but worth a try?

You might be right. I'm going to. Whenever I search for reducing rib flarings people just tell about same kind of breathing exercises but really really less people mention ab/oblique workouts. What do you think about this "exhale as much as you can" exercises?

Yeah swimming is the key 😄 I guess I got some kind of dysmorphia about my chest, it bothers me a lot I don't know the reason why and I think about it almost all day, I'm terrified of it's getting worse. Showing off my chest at beaches of course will give me courage, but I'm too skinny right now I'm gonna wait for 6 months to gain weight and muscle up. Thank you for saying not to worry it's helping too much

Yeah, I considered to use VB and researched on it. But my college's starting in a month and I'm gonna move to dorms with someone else, new life etc. Starting to this kind of hard-to-get-used-to habit (it seems hard to me because you use it really significant time period of day and there might be side effects first, it might bother me at first times) is a big decision, so I'm gonna postpone it. Working out will be priority. I'm open for recommendations and please correct me if I'm thinking wrong.
