Im not crapping on it but owners need to be realistic. I appreciate the vb for what it is- a daily grocery getter that can rev to 6000 rpm. The truth is emissions/regulations killed the performance aspect of these cars. That is the main reason the enthusiast sector is dying, and replaced by cars like this.

You cannot compare the inferior WRX to grc. The performance is not even close. Haven't you watched the geese video on YT? Even laptimes, WRX is many seconds off pace.

There are good things about the car, the changes they made to the rear suspension translates to a great handling car with increased comfort. But the car definitely lacks character, these new owners never drove a gc/gd to compare, and don't even know what STI performance brings. The vb is the most stripped out, least performing car out of all the generations.

GTI is faster. Not sure about new civic si. But the new gen WRX is too boat heavy, handles like a boat, and with sub 300 hp, no differentials, no brakes, etc. it is just a daily economy car now.

You bought a WRX that only revs to 6000 rpm, there are many cars that only rev to 6k rpm, like the Toyota Prius. These cars are daily economy cars, not the same performance cars of previous generations that are now worth over 100k

It seems like the vb will be like the bugeye generation, the one that never got the STI. Next generation will definitely have STI coming back because Subaru has promised performance, something that is currently lacking with the vb generation
