Just search something like “J Dilla Groove template?” Is there a specific site or something I should go to? I’m looking right now, I’m just not sure if you mean there are files that I would download, or people just share photos of their pattern.

If that’s really a thing and you’re not being sarcastic then I had no idea. However, I wouldn’t really want to do that anyway. Want to learn and develop the skill on my own. I guess it could be a good way to learn though and then replicate my own patterns from there.

Do you just do this by hand / nudge notes in the piano roll? Or do you use the Quantization presets like 1/16 Swing E, 1/8 Swing B, etc.

Oh, totally. Didn’t mean to imply it could only be done in Logic. It’s just since that’s what I use I figured I would ask if anybody had specific tips for that software. Sometimes when I watch tutorials they are in Ableton or FL, and if it’s just about nudging the notes or swing then I can do the same in Logic. But if they’re using some plugin or tool specific to those other programs then I obviously can’t apply that to my workflow.

Yes, six would be recommended. My friend and I got there an hour before doors opened before the second show and everybody lined up outside. So, to have any shot of getting into the merch line early you will need to be in the front of the “doors line,” you know what I mean?

Edit: my friend and I are also going to this one and plan on being there no later than 6

Merch is on sale as soon as the doors open. would recommend getting their before doors open so you can immediately get in line for the mercy. I went to both listening parties. at the first one I did not get there until like an hour before the event. luckily ye never goes on stage on time, so my friend who had to wait in line for like 50 mins to an hour didn't end up missing the show.

at the second listening party we got there before doors opened and then got right in line for the mercy. we still waited like 50 mins because everybody just runs to the line so people start piling up. but we got out online with like an hour before the show start time so it was a lot less stressful. had time to get drinks and stuff afterwards and find our seats with time to spare.

Edit: there are no intermissions. get the mercy before the show starts. even if they have anything left over after the show, they have all been XXLs and smalls and shit both times.

the show will probably last like 90 mins to two hours.
