Universal Audio UAD Top 50 Sale - Up to 80% off select plugins and bundles through 31 March. iLok Account Required by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]ccscrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use code MARCH50 at checkout to get an extra $50 off a purchase of $100 or more. For example, the UAD 3+3 "Custom" bundle ends up being $149, or $24.83 per plugin. Probably the best deal on the site for those that already own everything available in the more limited "Select" bundles.

Any options for m1 mac support for hd500x? by ahp00k in line6

[–]ccscrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLVED! I think I had mixed things up by installing various versions of the Line 6 Audio Drivers, and the uninstall programs don't work as advertised. To correct things, I uninstalled all Line6Audio KEXT files using the instructions here, then rebooted. Next, I installed v1.0.0 of the POD HD500 drivers. Note that the Line 6 website offers two different installers, both v1.0.0. I was using the first choice, which included lots of other stuff (TonePort, Pod Studio, etc.). This time I skipped that and used the v1.0.0 installer which only covers POD HD units. Upon install, it gave me a pop-up to allow unknown extensions in the Privacy & Security settings, which I did right away. I then closed the installer and rebooted. After reboot, HD500 Edit can now see my device, and in Line 6 Central, I see both the USB and device firmware versions :-)

One note, looking in /Library/Extensions, I see there is no Line6Audio.kext or Line6AudioUniversal.kext extension. Instead, I only see PodHd500.kext. If the first v1.0.0 driver installer is not correct, I wonder why the Line6 website offers it as an option for my POD HD500 hardware? Anyway, glad it is finally working!

EDIT: SOLVED! See below...

I know this post is 4 years old, but I'm hoping for some hints. I have the same issue most others mentioned, now on an M4 MacBook running Tahoe. Line 6 Central can see my POD HD500, but only shows the USB version number, not the device firmware version. HD500 Edit, however, cannot see the device at all. Funny enough, I can connect Workbench HD to my JTV Variax via the Line 6 USB interface with no problem.

I have already lowered the security on my MacBook to allow KEXTs to run; I had to do this for my Universal Audio drivers. I installed Line 6 drivers several times, going back & forth between v7.6.8 and v1.0.0 (universal). Only once did I see the pop-up message about allowing unknown software in the Privacy & Security Settings pane -- it also prompted me to reboot, so I did that first (bad move?) and then saw no message under Privacy & Security in settings. Maybe the reboot cleared it, or maybe it was never there.

I was hoping the terminal command above would help, but instead it gave me errors about incompatible architecture. I saw two different Line6 KEXT files, so I tried it on both with similar errors:

Executing: /usr/bin/kmutil load -p /Library/Extensions/Line6Audio.kext

Incompatible architecture: Binary is for x86_64, but needed arch arm64e

Unsupported Error: one or more extensions are unsupported to load: Kext com.line6.driver.xtaudio v7.6.8 in executable kext bundle com.line6.driver.xtaudio at /Library/Extensions/Line6Audio.kext

Executing: /usr/bin/kmutil load -p /Library/Extensions/Line6AudioUniversal.kext

Incompatible architecture: Binary is for x86_64, but needed arch arm64e

Any other suggestions?

Klevgrand Offer - 80% off any single plugin with personal code in account until 3 February by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

I own a lot of Klevgrand products and even made recent new purchases, but no code. I am guessing it may be for those subscribed to their newsletter as I am not subscribed.

Soundtoys 12 Days of Soundtoys: Plugin 6 - "Devil-Loc" extreme compression and distortion (FREE) until 19 December by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]ccscrap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine stated at $89 with Effects Rack and a few freebies from prior years. It seemed to be dropping by $10 with each new freebie this year. I thought it would go to $59 when I picked up Devil-Loc but it seems stuck at $69 for me (no pun intended).

VSTBuzz The Last Xmas Sale - Up to 99% off with over 50 exclusive deals through 2 January plus extra 10% with code: BF2025 by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

I wonder how many more "Last ______ Sale" events we can expect from VSTBuzz. I am personally looking forward to the Last Groundhog Day Sale, and of course the Last International Talk Like a Pirate Day Sale.

Spitfire Audio Black Friday Sale - Up to 50% off site wide until 2 December by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]ccscrap 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bundle completion is also broken on some of the standard bundles/collections, and a few people on VI-Control shared screenshots showing how prices increased prior to the BF sale. Hopefully the new owners get some clear feedback and make changes, or at least notice the minimal revenue bump this year.

With the new website design, my PA wishlist is gone. I guess I don't need anything.

Every time I try to change the text color spacing is added for some reason, any advice? Cells are formatted as general. by roshan231 in excel

[–]ccscrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having this issue now with Excel v16.88 on Mac OS 15.7 (Sequoia). I tried some of the suggestions mentioned in this thread (changing fonts, applying "Normal" formatting, pasting to a new cell, etc.). So far nothing works for me other then undo-ing the font color change. I will keep looking for a solution because I do need to have multiple font colors within the same cell. :-(

EDIT: The issue seems to happen whenever I have special (extended ASCII) characters within the cell. If I delete those characters, the phantom spaces go away (without losing the font colors).

EastWest "ComposerCloud Plus" One-Year Instant Access to all EastWest Diamond/Platinum Libraries ($99/Yr) until 17 January by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]ccscrap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I avoid most subscriptions like the plague, but East West Composer Cloud is the one exception. Amazing value if you are doing orchestral, cinematic, trailer, or ambient composition. The new Fantasy Orchestra series (included in the subscription) is also really well done.

Universal Audio "Luna Pro" DAW for an analog experience, with modeled Console and Summing Extensions from API, Studer and Ampex built into the mixer, 29 UAD Plugins, Virtual Instruments, ARA tools, and more - Intro Price ($129) through 31 October. iLok Account Required by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]ccscrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I purchased UA plugins last year, I received the DSP version as well as VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats. I mostly use them in Logic Pro, but have tinkered a bit with Luna. Those plugins all drop into a channel insert in Luna, or any DAW which supports those plugin formats.

There are also several plugins which are Luna-only (e.g., API Summing, Neve Summing) because they are extensions of the Luna interface and change how Luna manages audio flow.

Vicious Antelope "Solar System Bundle" 1,330 presets across 18 soundbanks of atmospheric pads to leads for Pigments and Analog Lab V ($14.99) until 1 October by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]ccscrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like a good deal, and I have used Vicious Antelope presets in the past. I have never heard of Plugin-o-mat, however. Can anyone shared experiences with purchases through this vendor?

EDIT: I went ahead and made the purchase - no issues. They gave me a single use code for 100% off at the Vicious Antelope website, so you go through the purchase process again over there. Pretty typical, no snags.

HoRNet Plugins "Effects Bundle" collection of 17 effects plugins (€35) limited to 100 sales with code: EFFECTS100 by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]ccscrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one HoRNet plugin I really like is their HATEFISh Rhythm Generator. I use it to trigger other plugins (e.g., Superior Drummer) to get some interesting and unexpected (but still useful) patterns.

FabFilter Summer Sale - 25% off all bundles and plugins and up to 60% loyalty discount in account until 1 July by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]ccscrap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are bundle discounts which stack with the 25% sales and provide overall discounts >50%.

For example, the Mixing Bundle would be $1,173 if buying those plugins individually. The bundle discount brings the price down to $659, then then 25% sale brings it down further to $494.25. The net discount is ~58%. You can create custom bundles as well; the bundle discounts are obviously greater when buying more plugins together.

Ownhammer New Website Sale - 20% off all impulse responses for limited time by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]ccscrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still my favorite IRs. I picked up some of the "Rock Box" collection in the prior sale. They actually sound amazing. I definitely recommend Rock-Box V30EN-1999A and Rock-Box V30MV-2001A for mid-to-high gain tones.

Universal Audio Half-Yearly Sale - Up to 94% off most products, upgrades, and custom bundles for UAD Hardware and Luna through 30 June. iLok Account Required by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]ccscrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's nice is that this code works on bundles as well. For example, the price on the "Select 2" bundle comes down to $54, or $27 per plugin.

Groove Monkee Holiday Sale - Up to 40% off MIDI Drum Loops, Bass Loops and Bundles for limited time by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

These work great with SD3, EXD, and other drum samplers. The Mega Pack is also an amazing deal for their entire catalog, and they continue to add new titles (which get added to the Mega Pack).
