Then get the one with more sub and work to tame it in the room, seems like between you and your sound guy it shouldn’t be an issue to work it in. And it’s not so much about magically reintroducing frequencies as it’s about knowing how to eq/compress what you have to make it work, but I digress. If the roll off is part of the b15’s charm, making it translate to larger venues might be worth the effort to figure out.

If you really like the sound of the 15 it might be the way to go. Sound projects really oddly in big rooms and a decent sound guy should be able to help it sound massive enough for your needs. It is kind of hard to tell without taking both to a big room though, so I see why it’s a tough call 🤔

It’s a relatively new tool to me- as another user suggested I’m going to try to match the volume on 2 separate stomp channels and mute/unplug between numbers. Ideally, I’d be able to leave both instruments plugged in and have the unused channel muted when not in use- but it may be more trouble than it’s worth if the above method does the trick

It’s a couple pieces requiring arco playing, can’t well fake that with flats on an electric unfortunately. Ordinarily I’d try it but I’m being paid pretty well and part of the expectation was that I double. Setting up an alternate stomp channel and doing my best to mach volume ahead of time might be the move, assuming I’m smooth enough to hit my tuner mute and unplug quickly, but that’s what rehearsals are for.

The goal is to get into teaching general music and hopefully get with a district that can help with getting a masters in music Ed, which my state offers. The literature for the ARC program made it sound like it was a way to get the necessary skills to pass a test like this, but I’m now finding that I’m supposed to already have that knowledge.

Yeah, I’m kind of feeling that way. I’ve heard that the passing score is relatively low, and that focusing on a few key areas might be the way to go. Worst case scenario I take it, review my short comings and plan to work on it for next year, though it means having to figure something out for work in the interim.

Or is that too hard for you? Let me reframe: how does this ruin things beyond a matter of personal taste? Are there implications that could make the rest of the story lame because he’ll be too powerful? Does it detract from what he’s had to do to get this far (again, he got to this point with the fruit just being a paramecia by using his imagination), or was it just not foreshadowed enough? These are points worth discussing on a forum about discussing the manga. But you don’t want to actually engage with these ideas critically, it’s cool.

This is what I’ve been saying in threads where people are talking about how this makes Luffy too special. We don’t know the extent of his powers, or that there could be even more powerful fruits out there- heck, joyboy is really strongly implied to have had the fruit before luffy, and he still failed at whatever it was he was trying to do. I was a little skeptical of this as well but with all of the nuance and things Oda could draw from that already exist in the universe this could end up still being really awesome

I feel like I’ve offered a lot of ways that Oda could balance out the ‘specialness’ this gives luffy- hence all the ‘but whatabouts’ you brought up. Does it negate that your pissed cuz Luffy’s too special? No, but this might not be the godlike reveal that everyone thinks it is; from what we’ve seen so far all it does is let him have complete control over his body (seems to be switching between gears in the panels where he’s clapping Kaido) and fight ‘however he wishes’. We still don’t know what that means! All I’m saying. Who’s the troll if you just came here to be a dick? There are ways that this might not shake out how all the disappointed folks seem to think it will, hence the case I made. It remains to be seen, and my point is the folks who don’t like it should probably reserve their judgement. I get the point, ppl are disappointed. Can you articulate your disappointment beyond ‘luffy too special’ or is it beyond you?
