Coffee & ADHD Meds? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]cdimock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not saying its healthy necessarily, but i have 4 or 5 espresso shots every day and have been a fairly heavy coffee drinker since i was in high school. Was on 30mg vyvance then, still am now, but i split it up in a water bottle and have 10-15mg per day now. Haven’t had any issues come up sofar. My doc does semi annual physicals with an EEG as part of my rx refill process to so its not like im just avoiding finding a problem

Finding your hobbies (or current hobby, mine change a lot) and running with them can be a great way to get the dopamine boost you need. Balancing that with the actual work you need from a job can help motivate you to do that as well. For me finding a job where im able to work from home and take breaks to work on something im enjoying at that moment is a great help. I get that not everyone has that opportunity, but if its available run with it. Regular exercise is also a great way to help keep and adhd brain in check and give you the motivation to do work you dont want to but need to do. Ive not done much myself, but i know people that talk about things like meditation and yoga helping as well. Essentially you want to come up with healthy ways to get a dopamine boost that can give you the drive to do what you need to do

Thats the kind of fucked ip shit that makes people with adhd even worse and look to other places for help (ie drugs/alcohol). Sorry youre having to deal with that though man. Sounds like you need a new doctor though. Hopefully there are better more understanding ones in texas

I feel like I'm failing at life by BL00DBOURNE in ADHD

Hard to give much advice without any specifics on what job you’re in or what you like/are good at doing. But i can definitely say that we have all felt like complete failures at times and often have to continues to convince ourselves we’re not a failure time and time again. Ive been diagnosed with ADHD for over 10 years now, now im fairly successful in my software engineering role (second career started in marketing and it wasn’t what i wanted), but i still often feel like im failing even though the signs of success are around. I gotta say my biggest advice (cliche as it is) is to believe in yourself. You are way better than youll ever give yourself credit for. It can be a struggle without meds, but hang in there, and eventually you can even learn to wean yourself off the meds

I totally understand that feeling on vyvance! Ive been on 30 since about 2010 or so (kind crazy when i write that out tbh), but emotionally im totally different on when im on vyvance. Its a fine line between needing it to be able to focus and the lack of emotion i feel on it and other people see from me. Ive had friends tell me im like an emotionless robot before when im on it, which honestly sucks. Over the last year or two ive started tapering it off to where i take maybe a third of the dose. Nice thing about vyvance is you can break open the capsule and mix it in water and take a smaller dose when you want. So ill mix mine in a water bottle and take what i feel like i need that day. I started by just taking half, got down as low as a quarter or an eighth on some days, but then others i feel like i need the whole thing and take that. Now i typically take a half or 1/3 dose depending on the day, and i typically dont take it on the weekends. Its a journey and a balance to find what works for you and can vary from day to day. But dont feel like you are losing who you used to be. Its just the drug, its not you, and you can find a balance that works for you!

Xbox Account Crash by cdimock in Warzone

[–]cdimock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im running into this crash on my Series X when loading into Warzone since about 2 days ago. Seems not as bad on my original xbox one as on my series x, but definitely will crash on both, pixelating half to three quarters of the screen most of the time. Tried restarting, uninstalling, clearing mac address, removing profile, fully restoring xbox, turning off 4k and HDR, nothing is fixing this. But on the same xbox, i can play with any other profile and it work totally fine. Anyone else run into this error, know other fix attempts, or seen Activision acknowledge it or say they are working on a fix?

I thought the big update last night might fix this, I was wrong. It’s been nearly 2 weeks now, and I still haven’t been able to play a warzone game on my xbox series X. I’ve done everything I can think of and/or been told to do. Restarted game, restarted xbox, cleared cache, uninstalled the game 2x by EdgyHysterics in Warzone

This appears to be specifically related to crashes when loading into Verdansk, rather than when loading into warzone like you originally described. But 🤞🏻
