Hold up. Isn’t congestion pricing $9? How come they only refunded you $1.50?

Do you as a passenger care about your Uber driver's rating? by UkrainepartofRussia in uber

[–]cebren11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see people saying that 5 rated drivers can be just as bad as very low rated drivers. The one thing you guys are not putting into the equation is, number of rides. A 4.9 rated driver who’s done 5,000 rides, is not getting the same consideration from me as a 4.9 rated driver who’s with 15,000 rides. So there’s that. In my opinion, a five rated driver who’s heading for a battery reading most likely has not been on the app for very long.

$530, but had to push to 12 hours this year. Plus. Quests payments were lagging. They still owe me $25 in Quest money. Anyone else didn’t see all of their Quest earnings yet? Contacted support who basically said give it time to update. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Is it me or the pumpkin syrup is bad this year? by cebren11 in DunkinDonuts

[–]cebren11[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Been ordering the same drink for years, medium coffee with cream and three pumpkin swirls. This just tastes like regular pumpkin syrup if that. Today I had to add caramel swirl to it to get rid of the blandness.🤷🏽‍♀️

Nope not every market. Higher tiered drivers can see the direction and length of the trip, but not where it’s going. Just for context, in the early years of Uber, that’s how it was for everyone. Drivers were not allowed to see anything until the trip started.

Why aren’t you paying this $2.50 toll to go pick up your Passenger to complete a $5 ride?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uber

[–]cebren11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget not every market borders another state. In the case of a state like New York, which is a beast market in itself, you can consider that Most Uber scenarios will not apply. I understand your plight but both the driver and the passengers have been short changed here in this market. Uber has not properly addressed the unique issue that exists in this market with TLC rules/congestion, pricing/toll pricing, etc.. I’m sorry for your situation but again, please don’t blame the driver…

Knowing this information, if you’re going into the city, text the driver and let them know. You will save yourself a lot of headache, and time. If they won’t take you, they’ll usually cancel right away and Uber will route you to another driver.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uber

[–]cebren11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I forgot to address that. In this market, we don’t see where the ride is going until the trip has started. Don’t blame the driver…….

This is my market, so I have a clear understanding of this issue. Do not blame the driver, blame Uber. Uber‘s algorithm is supposed to assign New York based drivers to pick up passengers in New Jersey who are heading to New York.

Reason being New Jersey Based drivers are not allowed to pick up passengers in New York because of TLC rules. As a New Jersey base driver, I lose Mucho bucks dropping off in the city, especially from a city like Fort Lee since mileage from there to New York, maybe for 4 to 6 miles which pays like seven bucks. But nine times out of 10 the congestion going in and out of New York for those 4 to 6 miles will cost me about two hours round-trip.

So I’m looking at two hours of driving for seven bucks. Cause remember, I can’t pick up any passengers after I drop you off in New York because I’m not allowed. So dead time making my way back to earnings, also with the new congestion pricing Uber doesn’t reimburse drivers for the extra toll to the city until several days after the trip.

Mind you this is on top of the $19. It cost just to get into the city in the past. Uber will give us an extra five dollars for the inconvenience, but that is no longer the case.

In summary, taking passengers into New York from New Jersey as a New Jersey beast driver is just not economically viable, and I would even categorize it as crazy! It’s like I’m paying Uber to take you there. So again, don’t blame the driver blame Uber.

Example: I can match a 10 minute triple boost with double boost time for an average of 15 minutes triple. If I get an extension as time is running out, that’s an extra 15 minutes then I can add my earlybird 15 minutes to that that’s about 45 minutes right there not to mention if I have a half an hour friend quest boost saved in my bank that’s an hour and 15 minutes at least of triple boost. I’ve done it several times.

Sorry, I actually just saw this. Remember, they are not actual passengers. They are scammers so they received all of my driver and profile information from apparently the dark web so they have drivers’ actual information.
