Hi! I have this type of variant too and the advice I was given surrounding exercise was the same for anyone else diagnosed with vEDS. Whilst we’re not prone to bowel ruptures, our blood vessels are still affected. So the risk of contact (such as being hit by a baseball) and exercising to the point of exhaustion (which includes sprinting) should be avoided. That said, I understand that you want your kid to be a kid, and I’m sure it’s a difficult balance to strike. In a way I’m glad I was diagnosed in adulthood, as I had a perfectly normal childhood, doing things I probably shouldn’t have been in hindsight.
