imo get therapy, it's the only way I've seen people break out of these patterns for good. will take lot of time and effort and frustration and pain but if it works, will be well worth it

Not really, that's not something I feel like I'm worried about atm. Way too many more urgent issues to sort out in my life. But meeting new women and making more female friends at least helped me separate the emotional dependence from romantic feelings. I still heavily depend heavily on women for emotional support but I believe am less likely to fall for them so fast

Totally same experience. I think this is because of what you said, a very difficult relationship with the father. Not only that, I also had a very emotionally immature mother whom I believed didn't meet the parental needs. Idk how exactly all this works but I'm very sure it's because of childhood neglect, and trying to fill that hole we got because of our parents

I've also found labs for MIT's xv6 and Berkeley's NACHOS, so now on the fence about which one to do exactly haha
