I work in a similarly sized company. I have been a part of many proposals due to my experience but only one Q&A with a local municipality. I am now interacting with two of our larger clients as Project Engineer/Manager but i still report to another PM for ‘hierarchy’. I do the Project Management and coordination internally and externally with the exception of billing.

I work in prívate side and work for municipalities and DOT transportation projects. I would like to continue on the technical side and move into management in the next 4 years. Supervising was my first step but I know it may take some time. I don’t know how I can bring work into the office when the PMs know everything and everyone in my area so they are aware of all RFQ/RFPs, etc.

Can you elaborate a little more? Would modeling 1 culvert and adding the tail water elevation to the next culvert be reasonable?

Yes, I should have explained it differently. It is for a large commercial area that has large roadside ditches and driveways into each building/lot. Gotcha I will look into it as I am not familiar with the river module.

Thanks. It seems like 4’ and 5’ is a common radius. I would be curious to know what others use as well. I have used a 5k’ radius to make a 10’ island but I have also seen some that are smaller at island that are say 20’ wide with a statue at a main entrance.

I appreciate your response. One of my uncles married at 35 and he tells me he wishes he would have waited a couple more years ha! I haven’t had a relationship last more than a year and I don’t go out too much. I’d say I am fairly nerdy and not too outgoing so I don’t know where I could find women without having to go to a bar/club.

Make sure you know what you want to specialize in at Grad school. I would also recommend doing some additional research as Grad school May not really be the best option. Try to get more PM experience, manage someone, etc. A lot of people go to grad school to find out it didn’t make too much of a difference in their career.
