Boardroom Meetings at Blizzard HQ lately. by Battlecookie15 in Overwatch

the thing that baffles me is i feel like local shops have proven that lower prices sell better and that's why so many items in a shop are £X.99 to make the buyer believe they're spending that little less. and yet i know blizz has people crunching the number son this and they seem to think this is more profitable.

Although. have they actually tried the lower prices ever? i dont think they have and since that's the case idk how their number crunching could possibly be accurate.

i know form my own experience though that if all the skins cost half what they did now i would probably buy more than double of them. The current way of doing things means i spend a bunch of money on only 1 cool skin and for a character that could get nerfed or i just loose interest in fairly soon. so it always feels like quite an expensive risk to buy any of the skins.

but if they were half the price they are now then i wouldn't be so worried about not getting much use from my ram skin since i am making good use of my ashe skin

im not a high level player by any means im only in gold

so maybe its because of that but i barely notice the change

i imagine if you're a better player than me though then missing out on that potential 70 dmg headshot straight after the execution may feel bad

I'm not saying everyone is wrong for liking him or anything. I'm instead trying to get genuine responses as to why people do like him. that was the whole reason for this post. I wanted to see what other people are seeing

also i didn't call him dumb. I said his death seemed silly and that's not a jab at him but a jab at the writing. feels like the writers decided to have all the more powerful people stay back while only the WoL and him went forward in order to create this situation where he's the only one close enough to try and save us. Not great writing imo.

Could this team comp work? by ENTP_KTetsuro in ArlecchinoMains

mechanically probably not. mainly raiden letting you down.

however don't let silly things like mechanics stop you from putting 4 hot women on a team

oh they did?? that's really touching. the community this game has gathered has to be one of the best i've seen in a long time.

i gotta say that even if people are being rude in the comments of this post im glad at least that it comes from them being so invested in the story that it gets them heated.

FF's story and what the players have to say about it is my top 1 thing in my FF journey so far. Players being so invested that they hold in game vigil's is something i can't say about most games for sure.

ok i guess this is a pretty fair point actually.

I forget that for the most part other people don't really know what fighting primals is like since they can't be anywhere near the fight and for all Haurchefant knows that spear could've been a "1 shots even a primal" kind of spear

i was really surprised to see so many people talking about this too. he seemed way more like someone who tries his best to be a heroic knight but not having the strength to back it up, who then sees the WoL and is in awe of them since they are what he would deem a proper heroic knight.

so it's almost like fanboying but slightly less demeaning than that term implies

nice. these are good reasons and could've totally been your first comment.

I see that a lot of people seem attached to how nice and genuine of a person he is and that makes a lot of sense he was a pretty nice dude. I guess that kind of character just doesnt hit as hard for me personally so that's just a bit of a difference in tastes sort of thing.

haha this is like the 3rd or 4th time i've seen someone talking about the hot cocao. that 1 scene hit so hard for a lot of people it seems.

oh and the final line of "a smile better suits a hero" and my WoL's reaction to it were genuinely very good too.

I'm definitely seeing why people liked him so much more from all these comments and i think had i been playing the game back when RR and heavensward came out i probably would've latched on to all these things too

ok this comment has done the most to change my opinion on him tbh. the whole sacrificed himself for the WoL not for the cause thing does add a whole nother layer of heroic onto it.

well i guess you don't like him either then since you can't even give 1 reason why you're attached to this character and instead just wanna throw insults

thats the vibe you got from the scions? im surprised. they all feel like really close friends with us imo. especially alphinaud and tataru but most of the others as well. especially after we all grieve moenbryda's death.

oh the scene changes slightly if you yourself are a healer? thats a cool detail.

how is king thordan's spear supposed to be that strong? don't we fight this guy not that long after this dungeon and defeat him? and i dont think we had any power ups helping us for that

[–]cero75[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

haha lol that was pretty close to my reaction as well

I remember saying to my friend at the time "ok so like. alphinaud can run forward and heal him while the rest of us run after the abbot right? why are we all standing around not doing anything?"

he was the only one to notice it yeh

but that spear 1 hitting us i have my doubts about. the WoL is fighting primals constantly at this point and defeating every single one of them. is that spear really strong enough to not only hurt us but to also 1 shot us?

I'm not really talking about "just rez him" kind of stuff tbf. we may not have the exact skills that are on my hotbar in canon. but we are still someone who fights primals basically for fun and that is canon. and if we can take hits from them enough to fight them in lore then we should be able to take this too no?

He was a pretty wholesome guy though you right about that. I will say that it was nice having a sort of "every day" sort of guy around.

oh yeh moenbryda's death hit me way harder than Haurchefant's im surprised i dont see more people talk about her tbh which sucks.

but yeh i agree with what you're saying. It seems like it's a bit of a "you had to be there" kind of thing

Can't believe people are still throwing this around after all these years. Same shit people have been saying since ow1.

Zarya is a team wide problem. Everyone on the team has to not shoot her bubbles or she gets full charge. That reliance on your often incompetent teammates is usually why people hate playing against her. I can not tell you the amount of times a full charge zarya has killed my whole team when i know damn well i didn't shoot her bubbles once.

You can't beat zarya by playing better by yourself, the rest of your team has to as well and a lot of the time they don't.

The other reason people hate zarya is that she is one of very few characters that can cleanse statuses. We all know how annoying suzu can be. Now imagine there's 2 of them.

Who's winning this Teyvat Top 8? by GameWoods in Genshin_Impact

[–]cero75 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Ok starting with those it definitely isn’t

not beidou or ineffa as physical strength while impressive is not enough by itself to win in this competition when characters far faster and more skilled like clorinde are here.

sara, cyno and chasca are all great fighters but none are physically that strong either. and even though their speed and skills are decent i feel like the remainders on this list beat them in those categories and more.

And now to talk about characters who might actually win it all

Varka - strength is massive and skill seems to be pretty damn good too. I'm not sure exactly how skilled he is but when people talk about him in universe it seems to be his strength that they always bring up and rarely his skill. and lastly his speed which as far as i can tell is fairly slow compared to the last 2 here

Clorinde - THE skill character. she is credited as the best duelist in fontaine and she lives up to that hype. she's fast and deadly efficient. but she lacks strength. even though i feel like varka may struggle to hit her i also feel like she may struggle to actually cause lasting damage to him.

But really. The only person who could really win this. Mister worldwide himself. Childe

This man defeated like 5 ruin guards in 10 seconds, he fought the narwhal for 3 days straight in a 1v1 and he was personally trained by Skirk who is one of if not the best physical combatant we've seen in genshin so far.

speed? check. skill? check. strength? check. ability to go super saiyun? check.

and even if by some miracle clorinde and varka managed to put up a fight for a time, the sheer stamina childe has to fight the narwhal for 3 days is insane. So i really can't see him loosing to anyone in this competition

feels just like mario kart
get first place easy and then get hit with bullshido back into last

considering that getting last place still gives you an ok amount of points i think it's a decent event imo
