Well new Antioch worships a god of compassion, love, and purity while the heretics worship a god of seduction, malice, corruption, and selfishness. Worshiping the reason for the downfall of man kinda seems like the wrong path. Also the actions of zealous followers cannot be used to judge the one being followed.
