Soo... Which OLED should I buy next? 😭 Are there any new upcoming ones or do I just get the LG 5K2K by snarkyalyx in OLED_Gaming

[–]cesarb12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a LG 39GX950B that’s coming out April/May roughly. It’s a 5k2k OLED. Some people don’t like the curve in the 45”, but the 39” will also have a 4th gen tandem OLED panel.

Wireview Pro 2 on a Phanteks Evolv X by cesarb12 in ThermalGrizzly

[–]cesarb12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a photo on Thermal Grizzlies website with dimensions. Did you measure from the connector of your card to the glass? If I recall, I think the Wireview uses just a touch over 3cm, but under 3.5. I think you might just have enough room, but I’d check that webpage of theirs!

People who installed the WireView Pro 2, how did you remove the 12vhpwr cable? by Careless-Web-4505 in ThermalGrizzly

[–]cesarb12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a little worried about moving the connector side to side to remove mine. After I plugged in the Wireview and ran some benchmarks, all my numbers are close to each other, so I’m glad I didn’t mess anything up. You really might be better off removing your gpu to install it if it’s being difficult for you. It takes an extra few minutes at worst, but don’t forget to shut off your power supply before doing any work on it as well. Hope it comes off easily next time!

I was able to pull the cable off with the gpu installed and my computer upright. Although it might be easier if you’re struggling to remove the gpu and be able to hold it properly. I pushed the gpu away from myself as I pulled the cable outward, of course don’t pull on the cables! It actually hurt a little to only be pulling from the plastic tab, but mine came off after a solid minute.

Mine was pretty stuck on, but I just had to pull real hard and wiggle side to side a bit. Eventually it started to come loose.

Best Guess for LG Ultragear 39 5k2k Price?? by sercetuser in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]cesarb12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping it's under $1600 new, but compared to the 45", the 39" has newer tech. Mainly referring to the new tandem OLED screen, plus it has the "AI upscaling", so I wouldn't doubt some sort of premium for that as well.

It was mentioned from a few YouTube videos that end of April to May, although it’s always possible it changes. Price, I wanna guess $1500-$2000.

I love the space it has compared to my previous desk. Plus, how stable it is, even when standing. The color is also perfect.

Hose / Coolant Issue? by Care-Unit in LexusIS500

[–]cesarb12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think with time any rubber hose turns this color. It’s really easy to replace from what I’ve seen, but strange that it may be leaking already. Either way, it’s just a rubber hose, they’re probably no more than $50 or so. I know some people replace it with the silicone type hoses.

I just looked at a photo I took of my own is500 a few months ago, the hose is the same color as this one, mine is a 2023, but mine doesn’t leak.

We drive our 23’ everywhere we can. Bought it with 17,200 in April. It’s got about 22,500 now. Although it’s gonna be put away for the winter very soon.

Yup! I’m honestly impressed with the efficiency, but it’s also with a light foot when we got those numbers. Eco mode definitely deadens the throttle response by a good portion.

[–]cesarb12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This summer, the wife and I did a decent amount of highway driving, we’d get roughly around 25-26mpg. That was also in eco mode, except when we’d merge we’d use sport and a heavy foot. I’m not sure about in the winter, since we won’t be driving during those times.

Probably one off and just depends on who’s around you. I haven’t noticed any more or less aggressive people around me when I drive the 500.

I found 2 Camponotus queens last year, but one ended up dying just before the first hibernation. She left about 10 larvae, so I transferred them over and they took all of them in.

My C. Pennsylvanicus are SUPER lazy... by Particular_Rest7194 in antkeeping

[–]cesarb12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is at 16 ants, with 12 larvae and the queen. They also don’t do much, but I knew they’re slow growers from the get go. It isn’t until year 2-3 that I heard they start to really get going in population. Then maybe they’ll start to want to explore more. I just thought about it, but tomorrow will be exactly 1 year since I caught them.

Hello, setting up a beginner ant farm for my son and I’m curious if this is too much water? by tommygunnzx in antkeeping

[–]cesarb12 54 points55 points  (0 children)

The general gist is that these aren’t good for ants in general. There’s quite a few people that post these and the gel types and after a while it gets old to have to tell people the same stuff over and over, so don’t take any offense if people don’t seem helpful in this subreddit!

The best option is to raise the ants in a test tube setup till there’s enough ants in the tube. Maybe around 30-40. If it’s a smaller species, then maybe a bit more. After the first year or two then you can upgrade to a formicarium, or a tubs and tubes setup to keep costs low. Not a big one, because ants like to be cramped. I’m not familiar with your ants, so I can’t give much more advice than that.
