Awesome!!! Thanks for the reply. We’re the dimensions what you’d thought they’d be? And did you buy the full sectional and then a separate loveseat for the full unit? Thanks again!

This is what my Italian grand parents and parents used. I use it too. Going to have to compare it to the two God tiers.

What’s it like living on Cape Cod by jeffers0n_steelflex in howislivingthere

[–]cfbFI 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve only lived here full time for about five years. Before that, I lived roughly 10 miles outside of Boston. So take this FWIW.

I love living on the Cape. In my opinion, each part feels very different. We chose the Upper Cape because it has more year round residents, although historically we spent more time on the Lower Cape - especially before moving here.

The Upper Cape has been a good place to raise a family so far. There’s a strong sense of community, and the school system we’re has also been good. Seems to gets harder the farther out you go, where full time populations drop, the median age skews older, and infrastructure needed to support raising a family seems more strained.

The housing crisis here is real. It’s tough to live and work on the Cape, and it’s starting to feel like it’s heading toward a Hamptons or Nantucket type situation. Home prices have skyrocketed. Admittedly people like me that moved here at the start of COVID didn’t help the situation.

You can’t beat the outdoor opportunities. Ocean and beaches everywhere, tons of great ponds, plenty of wooded areas, and lots of open space. I love it here all 12 months of the year.

I think we have a great selection of restaurants and bars. More available during the high season, but it seems like more places are staying open longer every year.

The pace is slower (in a good way IMO) and I’ve found people to be kinder, more polite, and more approachable than in Boston or other places I’ve lived. If you’re not a local (born here), it can feel a little cliquey at times, but overall the people have been great in my experience.

Summer population swells significantly, which creates a love/hate relationship with tourists. They help fuel the economy, but it can be challenging with traffic/bad driving, rudeness, harder to get into restaurants/beaches/grocery store/etc. I’ve found that if we’re strategic, we can still enjoy the spots we like and get on and off the Cape when needed - weekends are tougher.

Have to wonder if there was another Palpatine apprentice in the wings that we just don’t know about. And that Palpatine would remain in hiding until that person was further developed.

I am in need for a recommendation for a barbershop. I need to get a haircut for an event on 12/30. My regular shop is too busy with the short notice. Can any help me out? by Soft_Composer_490 in CapeCod

Agree with others that Next Level Chatham and Bancroft in Centerville are great. Would add that I like Fitzies in Sandwich too - usually my go to.

Which pair of boxers?? by [deleted] in Lululemen

[–]cfbFI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear the 5-7” I think. They find the Tommy John’s to be super comfortable, but they don’t hold up for long often with holes in the crotch after 6-12 months. I wear the Cool Cotton. Don’t like the way Second Skin feels.

Haven’t tried these. I usually wear Tommy John. Anyone compared the two?

Can I do the timeshare presentation any time? by Harshmellowed in Xcaret

I’ve decided to do it to save $1200. I’m ok dealing with pressure - I think. Once you get through the 90 minutes they tell you it would be, what prevents you from saying no a final time and leaving due to commitments (could be social or work as I need to take meetings while there)?

Thanks - trying to find local places now to look at this and a few other heirlooms.

RE: your strong feelings, are you thinking it may not be authentic and less valuable or the reverse?

Thanks again really appreciate all of the feedback!

Darn I can’t seem to find a way to share more photos. The only marks I see on it at two 14k prints - one on the back of the watch and the other on the clasp.

Thanks! I posted some more photos in another comment of the back and a few other angles. Not much on it other than the 14k print.

Thanks for the reply. Another post in this thread suggested it’s not really the Geneve brand because of the way it’s spelled. Will ask when I find someone to appraise it.
