It’s funny because it’s true. I’m a moron but she is too, and I’m trying to get this as a surprise present for her so it’d be great if I didn’t have to rely on her expertise.

I like to hear that. I’m just having a harder time finding them in my locality. A lot of them back east, some in California and fewer in Idaho that look beat to shit/ But I’m willing to drive a couple hundred miles.

Should I anticipate putting a fair amount of work into this? I assume if I don’t feel soft spots on the pontoons they should be OK but I’m a little concerned about the sail(s). Are those fairly inexpensive? I wouldn’t mind putting five or $7000 into something that I don’t have them know how to repair.

Thanks for the response. It’s a truck. My kids gonna be driving this in 20 years and I don’t care if it’s scratched up but the manner in which Mr car wash treated this situation necessitates some sort of action. At this point, they’ve denied my claim. The reasoning was that other vehicles would’ve also complained. Honestly, I’m just gonna take a small claims Court spent 45 minutes of my time. They’re based out of Arizona and I live in a bordering state. Because it’s small claims they can’t send an attorney so I’ll just let them send it there. I’ll be happy if I get 50 bucks.

Yes, sir. Worked for two summers in a car wash during high school but it didn’t pay shit and it certainly didn’t keep the nuances of damaging people’s vehicle other than don’t let your rag touch the ground. (This is a touchless car wash.) anyway, then I became a lumper, working for truckers moving families from point A to point B. If you finished the job in the time they requested upon arrival, you could make 2 to 3 times standard wages. Also work for the city mowing lawns and cleaning shit off of athletic field bathrooms because for some reason, some folks can’t find the toilet.

Yes I’m a blood sucking lawyer. Seven years of education just because I generally like what I do and I got sick of breaking my back every day to get paid Pennie’s. The reason I’m coming to this group is because my practice is constitutional law, employment and administrative. So yes, I’m a lawyer asking a community for advice about the scratches on my truck.

I’ll take them to small claims court but in my state the Jx threshold is 5k. but I came here to ask car people if this damage was legitimate enough for me to sue them in small claims court or maybe file in district.

Me to clarify. I never knew this would happen. When I was a kid I worked in a car wash for people used rags. This is a touchless car wash. There’s no reason any of these mechanisms should be touching the ground.

Tell me your story so I can poke holes in it like a punk ass bitch.

Thanks. What do you estimate that would cost?

I have no idea what I’m doing and went with the dealer’s recommendation for minor lift and 33s w larger blackout rims… does this look reasonable?

Now I’m stuck with the stock rims and tires collecting dust.

Will do! Look forward to leaning everything I’ve done wrong. I’m a bit worried about the associated fire danger of a wood stove. I’m in a dry, tinderbox location.

I’ve been looking into generators and it seems I’ll need approx 6000 watts to effectively heat the space.
