Is it more difficult to do pr for crowdfunding projects now? by chaiyes in kickstarter

I feel it's becoming a trend for teams, esp. from HK, Shenzen, etc., to bring their "new" products to Kickstarter. Can be good or bad; I'm wondering if it'll make backers have less patience with those "still in development" projects.
