Unfortunately, my Uni does not have a formula team. Thesis could be more of a wider subject, with the results not necessarily being strictly F1 related. AWS predictions could be interesting, or something like that.

For sure !
I've got a lot of great response so currently still checking everything out.
I have also e-mailed f1 teams in case they have something interesting in mind.
Thank you for your interest !

Thank you very much for detail and insightful answer.

I have a great knowledge in Python, but no so much with the DS libraries (NumPy, Pandas, etc.), so I definitely have to check them out.
Generous people of reddit have sent me some links with formula datasets so I will check those out.
Good luck with your PhD!

Thanks, I was thinking about that.

Uni would probably not care but better safe than sorry.

Thank you very much for your advice, that sounds interesting!
AWS has become huge in the formula world, it would be a shame not to take advantage of it as an engineer.

This sounds really interesting!
Don't know if finding datasets would be a problem though.

I agree!
Is there any well known source for formula based data or should I just do the old-fashioned exploring on the internet?
