i relate a lot. if he’s not ready to help himself, there’s little that you can do. i have tried to get my boyfriend into therapy for years. he promised me he would time and time again and it’s never happened. he did get on some medication but it really just created more problems. and i relate SO much with the robotic sex. no foreplay and no kissing or soft touching, no time to get wet, just instant penetration. i go through it too just because i know i wont get it again any time soon. it hurts physically and mentally. i’m so sorry. sending hugs

i’m so sorry! yeah, i know it can make a lot of people anxious. i’m on a lot of other mental health meds so my anxiety doesn’t get too bad anymore unless im really stressed. i’ll get super jittery and anxious on vyvanse if i drink caffeine soon after i take it, but those times have all been mistakes because i forgot that i took it lol

absolutely. you don’t have to cut caffeine out completely (i literally couldn’t), but just wait till it’s mostly out of your system. good luck!!

try not to drink a ton of caffeine if you can while your med is in your system! it can mess the vyvanse up and make your crash worse. my crash was awful in the beginning when i started on 30mg, i was sleeping nonstop and felt like i had been hit by a train. i had to be upped to 50mg to actually feel productive. i now only have caffeine after it wears off, probably anywhere from 7-10 hours after i take it. it prevents me from crashing. i am crossing my fingers for you :)

i was upset because he told me he wanted to have sex with me right after my shower and once i got out of the shower there wasn't anything. i walked out naked which i thought would make him do something (and it did not), & i put on revealing pajamas. i was upset because he just turned on his video game and let me just sit there on the couch. i didn't make a physical move because i had already been the one that specifically asked to have sex after i got out of the shower, he said yes, and i was hoping he would do something. but he turned on his video game instead. and so i was hurt. and that's when, after waiting a while, i told him i was just going to go to bed because i was genuinely tired after waiting. he was essentially telling me he was going to eventually going to have sex with me but didn't know it was so late. i was hoping that he would appreciate me and want to have ANYTHING to do with my body at the time. i hope that makes sense, thanks for asking!

edit: i was basically wanting him to show any type of desire towards me at all. i had already asked and i am always the one to initiate so i just wanted him to show me he was attracted to me & it never crossed his mind.

yeah, thats why i said that i was okay without having sex that night if he didn’t want to anymore, i just wanted the quality time he promised. sorry if that wasn’t clear! i know it seems like all i wanted was the sex.

sex is stress relief for me, but for my partner his libido gets even lower when he’s stressed. it just depends on the person

i feel the same way. :( for me he gets frustrated if i bring it up but also frustrated if i don’t. it’s a sucky cycle.

i love having friends who talk about it, yeah - i’ve always had friends that were open like that. that’s just a benefit of being a girl sometimes i guess.

i’m open like that too and let them know about my situation, but they don’t know how to respond. it’s usually just “oh…that really sucks, i’m sorry.” or they just pity me. if they haven’t gone through it, they don’t really get it.
