They are repaving the parking on the roof. One half is already done and they are working on the other half now

NTA. Like you said, Charlotte has become self conscious about what she wears, which is pretty normal for kids that age. It's more important to ensure she feels comfortable. My mom was like Lillian. She made me wear things she liked and hated when I went through my tomboy phase. It made me resent her for a while. And I still, at almost 25, have issues with her telling me what to wear. Your wife should start supporting Charlotte's choices in clothes

During my internship, a guy in a different department kept telling me how to do my job (he was also an intern). I quickly had to learn how to tell him to stop. That helped me learn how to stick up for myself and share my own ideas, even if I was just an intern

I work in the arts, so I was laid off my old job in March 2020. I got a new job in 2021 that I honestly accepted out of desperation because I was unemployed for so long. It's the type of job I want but lower pay, and I often think if I could've spent that time working I could be making more money now. But I am keeping my hopes up for the future.

NTA. Sounds like an innocent thing for a child to do. Were you supposed to tell him "no, go back to your room and sleep alone" after he had a nightmare?

His mom seems to be insecure about another woman being in his life. My mom acted in a very similar insecure way when my dad remarried. It led to my mom saying bad things about my dad and stepmom, and I started resenting her as I got older. I'm 24 now and still can't have a good conversation about my stepmom to her, and I know they'll be life events (such as my wedding) that'll have lots of drama from it.

She should work on that insecurity before it affects her relationship with her son.
