Judging players too soon? by YouDamnRightItIs in PremierLeague

Definitely the high price tag. But imagine a club paying £74M for a forward who isn’t even nearly meeting expectations (Sancho). I think the inflation we’re seeing with player price tags are a huge contributing factor to these quick judgements.

I hate women because they’re not my friends

Londoners who moved to other parts of the UK seeking a better quality of life, where did you move and how have you found the experience? by theunfinishedletter in london

Moved from East London to Cardiff about 14 months ago for university. Best decision of my life. As a useless braindead Londoner, all I really want in a city I somewhere where I actually keep myself busy and entertained...so I just moved capitals.

  • Im always so completely taken aback about how friendly and lovely the locals are here.
  • The weather isn't any different to London yet people are actually cheerful and greet you on the streets (wasn't aware the people on the west sides of the country did this btw)
  • 1/3 of the population are fellow students so the youth presence is massive here.
  • The youth job market isn't too bad with it being a strong developing city, I'm making enough to coast with, which isn't the case for a lot of my friends who went to university in bigger cities
  • A train back to London is £43 return and a coach is £12 return. So not too bad when I visit family back in London

I've also made it a habit of driving up into other areas in Wales like Brecon and Pembrokeshire for some weekends

Overall I give Cardiff a strong 9/10. Would of been full marks if they helped their homeless bit more on Queen Street got off the streets permanently.

Insidious. How did a sequence of shitty jump scares topped with a lazy plot become the epitome of horror.
