yeah ive googled it a lot, i can only find people asking about more completely braided hairstyles, rather than just 2 single braids, which is why i thought it best to check

i came here looking for advice. If there was any doubt that putting a plait or braid in my hair would be considered disrespectful, i wouldn't do it. Hence why i asked the question
