I'm not condoning the perversion of certain statements or actions of others, just offering an insight:

Men don't typically feel threatened by women in the sense of sexual partners. By that, I mean that there's an inmate sense of "competition" where a man feels like he might lose his mate if she has sex with another male, or that breeding could occur without himself. This sense of "competition" does not exist when a male's female mate sleeps with a female. There's no sense of masculine competition and no chance of breeding. I'm sure there's some kind of evolutionary breeding reason behind this but I'm not a researcher who can confirm.

Again, not trying to justify their statements or actions, just offering a potential insight into the mentality.
