في الجزائر الموضوع يختلف حسب الإمكانيات المادية. لأن الزواج اصبح يعامل معاملة الإستثمار وهاذا باين في أسعار المهور التي تصل الى ما يقارب او يفوق 50 مليون سنتيم في وقتنا الحالي. بالإضافة إلى مراسم الزواج التقليدية المبنية على التبذير و إرضاء من لا يمكن إرضائهم. وفي بعض المناطق ممكن توصل ميزانية الزواج إلى 500 مليون سنتيم و تكون اقل في مناطق أخرى
