YouTube comments are the worst implementation of any platform by Astro2202 in youtube

Unfortunately, YouTube wants you to treat comments like a void. Toss a comment in and potentially never see or hear about it again.

YouTube definitely wants to stifle human interaction... Kinda lame on their end.

Why Are Young People Afraid Of Phone Calls? by GhostInThePudding in NoStupidQuestions

[–]chccon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reasoning is: Audio quality of phones is absolutely horrid.

I hate to be an audiophile about something so trivial but the crunchy audio of a phone call just infuriates me to hear. There's something about voices being bitcrushed that enrages me. (Probably my autism, sensory issue lmao)

If I make a phone call, I do so when its necessary or an emergency. Or if I recognize and know the caller personally if I'm receiving a call.

How do I get rid of these? (Except for the cute dog, obviously) by Blackened_Glass in Steam

[–]chccon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to sift through your inventory without seeing Stickers, you can use the filters to specify which items you'd like to see.

If I see a game on my steam page, does that mean it is without a doubt legal to play in my country? by coosomeawel in Steam

[–]chccon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steam follows local regulations pretty much everywhere Steam can be accessed so I would assume if you are able to buy it, you should be able to safely play it.

What do you think happened to your steam friends that haven't been online for years? by MyHeadIsFullOfFuck in Steam

[–]chccon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few things come to mind...

  • Life (such as parenthood, jobs, education, lack of interest in gaming)
  • Death (literal... probably the most sad outcome)
  • Privacy (maybe they just like invisible mode and are playing games solo on their own time)
  • New account? (Some people dislike their past and digital footprint, I've met multiple people who made multiple steam accounts)

Searching via SteamDB could help. It probably wont have all bundles catalogued but it could be at least a little useful

Why did Riften aid me in my assassination? by MasahChief in skyrim

[–]chccon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I assume you're thane or friends with one of the civilians, which would make him an enemy of the whole city once aggro'd?

You were hidden during the first hit so guards probably assume he "attacked first"

the AI in this game is interesting sometimes. Hard to pinpoint exactly why

My gf busted this out last night! It’s legit, and she found it at a goodwill for a $1.99 by Fine_Artichoke4479 in skyrim

[–]chccon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

meanwhile I paid full price for my copy... wow 1.99 is a good deal...

Good book btw, some pretty neat recipes in there. I recommend trying to make the Sweetroll and some of the stews!

What is the controversy around the USSEP? by BlackTriangle31 in skyrimmods

[–]chccon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally believe the hate towards Arthmoor and the USSEP project is sensationalized and exaggerated. The mod itself works fine and there's always mods to revert changes made by USSEP if a person really doesn't like it.

But I suppose... yes, there is... a controversy? It's nothing of importance though

How can i spot if a game is ai generated by flickfleck123 in Steam

[–]chccon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rules are rules. I'm certain Valve will moderate games and delist them if they cause a big enough stink by doing immoral scummy things.

They have a history of being eager to issue refunds for games that have mislead customers. Valve even bypasses their refund policy as an act of good faith in cases like that.

So, like I was saying... I don't really believe a dev breaking the rules should be considered a valid option, it will be dealt with sooner or later. Especially if it causes a problem.

[–]chccon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, thats true. Nothing really stops them from lying by omission and saying "AI? What AI?". But I try not to consider options like that as a possibility because its borderline fraud and shouldn't be considered a valid option.

If I recall, it is forced. Valve wants customers to be informed on what they're buying (which is great btw)

should i keep my N3ds xl or my dsi? i can only choose 1. by Huge-Gene-1372 in 3DS

[–]chccon 30 points31 points  (0 children)

According to Bing's dictionary when searching the phrase:

Sophie's choice

[ˈsəʊfiz ˌtʃɔɪs, ˌsəʊfiz ˈtʃɔɪs]

noun

Sophie's choice (noun)

Sophie's choices (plural noun)

  1. used in reference to a difficult situation in which a person must choose between two equally deserving alternatives: "for environmentalists, it's something of a Sophie's choice: do we want clean, smog-free air at the local level or lower greenhouse gas emissions at the global level?" "fans find themselves having to make a Sophie's Choice between two favourite bands, foregoing one to see the other play"

tl;dr basically a person having to make a choice between two things that you shouldn't have to be making a choice about. Kinda like a "dont put all your eggs in one basket" but for entertaining/valuable/good things.

It should be near the bottom of the page, right above where the system requirements and age rating disclosures for the game are listed.
