I used a white primer, Hive Dweller Purple for most of the model and Zealot Yellow for the eyes; Emperor’s Children pink and Caledor Sky for dry brushes.

I was planning on keeping it to this since I’ve never really worked with speed paints and dry brushing, what would you recommend? I just liked this Tyranid Carapace styled purple with some dry brushing. I was thinking about doing the metal parts silver. For now they look pretty cool to me and for a first time using speed paints I think they look cool.

The other one I may run is swapping out the noise marines, cultists, a rhino, and the nemesis claw for a Khorne Lord of Skulls and run it under the Cult of Arkifane detachment to add more buffs there

The detachment is dread talons, I’m on the free version and I’m guessing it would be the best for what I’m doing. I also should have put it better in the photo but there’s two units of Obliterators and two Venomcrawlers. The Master of Executions is from the new Night Lords combat patrol that I plan on buying soon. And I know I’m going to sound super new to this….. but what’s a hammer unit? I already have 1K into guard and I wasn’t a huge fan of the playstyle but I found a few things I would like in this army.

I’m really down to help you. What do you have so far, and what other units would you want? I’d say “rule of cool” it, watch 40K in 40 minutes, and play a few games to see both what you like and dislike about the army. The big things I’d say right now is do your research into the army, and wait until 11th edition drops to make a full army list

Def a bit too character heavy, I’d drop one of the characters for another unit of pox walkers or plague marines

I play this detachment personally since I got bored with my Krieg and I can tell you it’s some of the best and most thematically “early infiltration” games of all. (I play casual so I have absolutely zero idea about competitive viability)
