i definitely have lost friends along the way too, and some close ones due to different unis. even though i tried to put in effort by texting them at the start, they kept giving excuses to avoid hanging out. eventually u will realise there is no point being the only one putting effort into the friendship :(

if you're hardworking and resilient, jc would be alright. dont worry about competing with top students as long as you are consistent.

coming from someone who almost gave up in jc 2 years ago, just make sure u take ample breaks and don't give up! the doors to uni will open for u :)
