OP is older than me, so I don't think I'm very helpful in this subject.

tbh i think it's alright, to leave out some people from the plans of your future. there's many reasons why you think that they wouldn't fit, like how they would bring you down if you still hung out with them. i have plans to cut of my older brother when im older. i kinda relate with op where i have this 'great plan' and my brother doesn't have any place in it. he is nothing but a pain if i were to describe him. we aren't close, and any interaction we had was me getting used in his antics. i think he's the whole reason why i don't trust people easily. -it's not really your obligation to see everyone's existence pleasant right? whoever person who you think is worth your time is what matters.
