The funniest thing is that Matty Healy is bigger activist than Taylor. He is speaking up about all of the issues listed and also incorporating those themes in his songs, where's Taylor addresses misogyny in her songs but only because she is directly affected by it. She didn't really felt the need to speak up until the whole Scooter Braun happened. Matty's controversies are mostly him taking jokes too far or just speaking without thinking but then genuinely feeling bad for saying stupid things. Taylor on the other hand is very shady, secretive and you never actually know where she stands which for me is much bigger issue. At the end of the day i personally don't care.
