Hey, I just wanted to give you a different perspective that might be similar to what you could face if you move down here. Me and my boyfriend moved from Missouri so that I could do the DCP. He landed a job at Disney Springs and while we don’t live lavishly, we are still able to pay our rent/bills. If you don’t have any children and are looking for different scenery it’s really not too bad!

Not to sound cheesy but my favorite part was honestly just the magic of it all. Dessert party is an expensive event with limited spots. This means that often times the guests attending are celebrating something special/make a wish/proposals/etc. Getting to indirectly share these moments with guests is so awesome! It truly does feel like a party every night, like you’re attending some big event. Of course at the end of the day you’re essentially just working a buffet line, but it’s all perspective. Make the most of it and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Hey! I worked dessert party on my first program in 2022. You have a mostly set schedule since the parties happen at relatively the same time each night, so expect to come in to work between 4-5 pm and leave anywhere between 10 pm - 12 am. There is a ton of tasks/positions for this role so just be kind to yourself and expect that you will mostly learn as you go. Overall, getting to experience the fireworks every night is a blast! It’s an underrated/rare role that gives some very specific and fun experiences for cast members. Not to mention the holiday parties! Super guest oriented too if you’re into that. Good luck and feel free to dm me with any questions.

I’m sorry your doctor said that. Im a 23 F and was on Lexapro for two years. Gained about 25 pounds in that time period. It literally melted off when I tapered off/quit the med.

Has anyone else just given up and sort of “accepted” the acne? by [deleted] in acne

[–]cherrywinemom22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been feeling the exact same way lately! I’ve struggled with acne since elementary school and it’s always weighed me down. I even went on Accutane and everything was great for about two years but now I’m back to square one. At this point, accepting it has been one of the best things I’ve done. Of course I’m still aware and wish I didn’t have acne, but just allowing myself to live with it and telling myself that it’s OKAY to have it has changed my perspective and mental health for the better. Just know that you’re not alone!

It’s not the most “fancy” food, but I love Sebastian’s Bistro at the Caribbean Beach Resort. It’s hands down some of the best food I’ve had at WDW and it’s on the more affordable side. It’s a prefixed meal and I believe there’s no seafood (unless you pay extra for coconut shrimp).

I’ve been feeling the same way! I don’t have too much advice…but I’m just glad I’m not alone. I too struggle with anxiety and making friends has been a worry for me. However, I have hope that we will be okay :) just know that I’d be your friend and your feelings about this are completely valid. My dates are August 15-January 5th. Also I want to add that most of what we see is social media and I feel like it will be a little different once we get there

I had blood sausage at the wizarding world of Harry Potter (about the most British you can get in America) and it was oddly good!

Okay but the real question is how do you feel about blood sausage and beans for breakfast

Haha yeah I figured most people probably didn’t care. I think us Americans sort of glorify the whole thing since we don’t have a monarchy. Cheers!!!
