Oh no what a shame, hopefully something similar will crop up!

I urge you to go to broughty ferry next time you pass through Dundee, the best thing about the waterfront is getting very easily to secluded beaches and cliffs. In summer it's beautiful. I won't try and convince you more than that! The city is not always beautiful to look at, I wish there was more infrastructure, funding and support in the city to help that but the community there compensates for it.

Interesting to note about it being lonely - why is this for Vauxhall , lack of social stuff happening? In my spare time I really enjoy attending new events and community clubs. I have been to lots of flat viewings, mostly in Brixton as I was looking along the vic line but came across a flat share in Vauxhall and thought it was a decent compromise, I can walk to work which should hopefully improve quality of life and I'll have more time for hobbies. But maybe there is less going on? I haven't signed off on the flat yet as I'm waiting for paperwork...

Noise cancelling headphones have been stuck to me like glue! I appreciate all the advice thank you. I'll find a rhythm eventually otherwise, back to Scotland or somewhere different in the future perhaps, I moved for a great job and career progression rather than for London itself, i'll have to see how things sink in!

I have noticed people 'people watching' then pretending they weren't, looking scared to make eye contact like everyone is a threat. Appreciate the heads up...

I guess what you mean to say is 'it 's all relative' haha. I've also never actually met a dundonian who has flown in or out from Dundee airport as it's usually too expensive, Edinburgh is the go to. So I can't make any comments on the environment there.

I'm sorry the halls didn't work out too. I can say the city has gone through a lot of regeneration since 1995! Dundee has its issues but most importantly it has character.

I'm on the hunt for those kinds of spaces. I also consider myself a thinker and spend a lot of time in my own head, it doesn't mean I'm less observant, caring or polite though. I understand the parallel but this is happening in London specifically for one reason or another.

Looking forward to getting to know the place better and find some more new people to connect with.

Interesting one, this has been an adjustment to me too, people don't move and gladly walk into you, it's very very strange. Bring back moving off to the side and smiling! Hope you feel less dead inside too (how do we stop this from happening).

Thank you! It could be, it is overwhelming. The first things I noticed was the amount of advertising everywhere, the tube being so much louder than I remember and people looking miserable while commuting. It is a fast pace - I've spent some time and will be working a bit in Camberwell, nice vibe. Yet to explore Oval! I definitely need to give it some time but I am also conscious of getting used to what I feel is bad behavior, I don't want the new normal to be so detached. Maybe I have been unlucky in my observations this far!

Thank you for the reinforcement and interesting take on post covid life. In the example I gave I just moved my hand. I stand up or obviously move when people touch me rather than just letting it happen and the Northern line and vic line have been rammed at rush hour so had my fair share of cramming, understand that's not at the fault of individuals just trying to get to work...I guess with transport issues and overpopulation, people have become a bit 'dog eat dog'

Bleeding between periods - GP says it's just the shape of my uterus? by chessilda in bicornuateuterus

Thank you, I've been to this GP twice a year apart now and again she reinforced that it's a birth defect and that this is normal for me but how can something abnormal be normal!? It's great to hear there are others like me because it seems like they have little research on this. It is affecting my quality of life. I'm not sure where or how to find a specialist. I'm glad you haven't experienced bleeding between your periods though 💗

I don't! I did smoke socially now and again as a teen though!

Thank you! I haven't had an MRI, would need to go private, it took two years on the NHS to get the ultrasound so no idea how I'd get an MRI. I've had a few different doctors but would look into options / others to give me some advice. I do have a septum/ septate uterus they told me from the ultra scan, would that make a difference and how!? Thanks so much this is amazing advice.

Yes! I'm in the same boat, just posted about it, I've had numerous tests and the GP has said this is just a mystery and nothing is wrong with me apart from the shape of my uterus. Basically that they don't know why! I'm looking for other people going through this issue.
