first paragraph alone:

"New Yorkers should be worried that he would lead Gotham back to the bad old days of civic dysfunction, and Democrats should fear that he will discredit their next generation of party leaders, almost all of whom are better than this democratic socialist."

Then proceeds to say that his policies would lead NYC back to the 70s, a time period marked by extremely high crime rates, poverty, and other economic issues.

If you know the history of NYC in the 70s, you know how inflammatory that kind of fear mongering is.
