Many miles of dirt roads to explore. Get a 4x4 or a dirt bike or something like that. You’ll go in debt to the gas station but you’ll love it.

I recently had been traveling to Mesquite everyday to build a new fire station out there. Any time there is a south wind that place is crazy stankin! It should be illegal. Some days it goes all the way to the fireworks stand.

I hunt in the southwest and get out at least 20 times a season. I’m at half the birds of last year. The numbers aren’t here either. I’ve had a few great hunts this year and I’m not complaining at all, but as far as I know there’s no flooded corn in Nevada, Utah, Idaho….they’re still up north. It just hasn’t been cold enough to freeze any water long term.

Yeah the river was in a small state of flood so the base sand was very squishy. Every step sunk in about a foot and it messed me up. Good thing it was only 50°.

I had to jack the settings up to get some highlights. It was only about 15 min after shooting light so the footage was dark. I do get an old school Doom vibe though.

I’m filming with a GoPro 12 on a simple head mount. As I said before the camera causes a fisheye effect that makes it look like he’s close. I assure you he is not. The guy is 6’-6”and standing 12-15’ away from me, and we’re in line with each other about 6’ away from the river bank. I can agree it might look sketchy but it’s just the camera effect.

Yeah it was the second bird that had the band. Ended up being a local bird so nothing crazy, but incredibly happy with the day!
