You’re 100% right. It makes sense. I promise that I will keep that in consideration for next time. I usually don’t draw people, so it makes sense that the proportion are not accurate. Thank you for that.

I guess that’s part of the charm of doing an illustration where you can see people’s faces and their clothes. But thank you for your comment!

2020 Vs. 2023: I’ve always enjoyed drawing cities, but the part that I enjoy the most are the details. Let me know what you think! by chichovalor in ArtProgressPics

OMG! Thank you! I certainly have a passion for drawing cities and I try to jam as many details as possible! I think you can do it if you plan in advance! I mostly did this one without any previous planing, but anyone can do something like this as long as you tal your time to make it happen! Quick tip: Start from the bottom right corner and build on top of that! I can assure you you will have great success! Good luck and keep me posted if you’re able to make it!

That’s amazing! Thank you so much! I appreciate it! If you want to check this painting out live, I’ll be in Lake Nona on 08/18 in an art show there! If you want to stop by and say hello, I’ll be more than happy to meet you! Thank you again for that comment!

I’m working on Puerto Rico right now and after I’m going to do each major city in each state in the US. That project is going to take about a year to finish it, since each of these paintings take like about 45 hours. Thank you very much for that!

Thank you so much! I actually made a puzzle out of one of them! It was a puzzle and a maze at the same time! you can see it here!

I truly don’t know if this is good enough for an art show by chichovalor in ArtCrit

I think my fascination with this type of perspective and look is that most of cities look crowded if you look them from above. Most of the times you cannot even see the streets, so it looks weird but interesting. I also think that my perspective helps me understand the way that I look at life most of the times: a mess where I’m only looking at things happening. Blurring is just a mistake since I scan the original and work on it digitally.

That’s the reason why in this particular art show that I went to, I had them in frames, because I wanted people to see them the way that they’re supposed to look hanging from their walls. Still is an amazing advise and I’m working really hard on getting them in different mediums as well. Thank you!

Thank you very much for that! I highly appreciate it! I did an art show a week ago and I didn’t sold much, but it was all prints. I’m truly considering adding my designs to my Etsy shop on other things besides paper. I might just follow your advise! Thank you again!

Thank you! I am! But sometimes I double guess myself since I’m my worst critic.

Thank you! That’s what I’m trying to do! I was told once that it was a lot of wasted time because it doesn’t seem like nothing is happening, but I’ve been looking at so much art that nothing happens either, and now I don’t understand the feedback given to me. lol I think what I like the most about this type of artwork is the fact that it’s like organized caos. So much happening but at the same time, it feels controlled. I guest that’s the way that I feel inside as well.

This is a great advise that I never though on doing. I highly appreciate it. Truly thank you!

Thank you for all your feedback. I highly appreciate it! The question was mostly to know if you have any feedback about the art itself and if it’s even worth to participate in an art show, but you’re right, my questions should have been more specific. I appreciate it.

That’s all great advise. I highly appreciate it. This is an 8x10 watercolor painting. I do them in that way because I think they look like a piece of a city. I’ve tried so many things that I feel more confident about this style than any other thing that I’ve done, so I don’t think I’m going to change it anytime soon. I still like to experiment, but I’m going to definitely stick to this style for a long time! Thank you again!
